Pea soup, much like clam chowder, needs to have that consistency first, that you can stand the spoon up in it, but the spoon soon tilts, that's the consistency you want.
Number two: Uh, pea soup on it's own can be a little bland. It wants, uh, a fairly aggressive peppering and salting.
Number three: Pea soup needs a fine dice of ham. Not bacon, not any other meat, not turkey. It needs a fine dice of ham.
Uh, number four: Uh, pea soup scorches easily. You don't wanna heat it on a high heat. You wanna heat it on medium low, just until it's warmed through.
Uh, number five: Pea soup is best made, uh, by hand, not out of a Campbell's can. And the key to pea soup, you want a ham bone, uh, for the stock you make, uh, to, to boil your peas.

No wonder. Between Finals, practice, maintaining weight during the holiday season, and trying to get some shopping for gifts for the fam, this young man had a lot to wrestle with.

MSU will build $100 million research center

EAST LANSING - Construction of a $100 million collaborative research building is slated to begin this summer on an already-crowded site on the south end of Michigan State University's campus.

Plans for the 170,000-square-foot Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building were approved unanimously by the MSU Board of Trustees last month. Work near the intersection of Bogue Street and Service Road is set to begin in August, with an expected completion date of August 2019.

The university plans to recruit 100 new faculty members to work at the new building once it's completed. MSU will pay for the project out of its general fund.

The need for modern research space — and world-class researchers to use it — prompted MSU to pursue the project, said Provost June Youatt.

If I remember correctly MSU's comic book collection was the largest in the world when I was in school in the 90's. Anyone confirm?

I concur. Largest library. Randy Scott is the special collections curator at MSU libraries and he's a comic book legend I guess based on my readings this morning.
Some go on sale periodically.

"The Michigan State University Libraries features the largest library comic book collection in the world with over 240,000 titles. MSU Surplus Book periodically receives a small portion of this collection to be made available for resale to the public. All of the famous titles from Marvel, D.C., Dell and others are ready to become part of your collection."
