Jamie Foxx in serious roles....not buying it

Just can't take him seriously. Every movie I see him in all I can think of is:

What actors do you take seriously?

It's quite possible that says more about you than it does him.

Just watched Road to Perdition again for the first time in a while. Hanks and Newman killed it in that flick.

Not that it was critically acclaimed, but I liked Fox in that movie with the Gladiator/MSU guy. Law Abiding Citizen. Entertaining show.

That military one was good. He was pretty damn serious in that one.

I like him in certain serious roles, it all depends on what role he takes. Django worked because he could be pissed off. I played ball with him when he was in Miami shooting Miami Vice and was working out with his training, dude was a rock to guard, but is 100% a comedian first, and a genuinely good guy. But Miami Vice sucked.

Booty Call was very underrated.
