Me, too, Turtleneck. Nobody has ever done a better job than AD Hollis, and it's highly unlikely anybody ever will.

No doubt about it. He could retire tomorrow and will go down in history as one of the all-time great CBB coaches. There's no question Izzo is right up there with Rupp, Wooden, and a couple other active coaches whose names I can't recall at the moment.

If you could rename Mark Hollis what would you name him? I'd go with "Mark Hollis" because it's just perfect.

And I would nickname Tom Izzo Champ. Because he's a champion. Or just Coach Izzo, which is probably what he prefers. Or maybe he prefers Tom, I don't know. But I do know he's a champion.

And calling Mark Hollis Mark Hollis is pure genius.

Whew. What a relief. I told my wife it wasn't weird when I made her wear a Hollis mask in bed. Thanks Turtleneck.

I have a picture with Izzo from last season, at one of the football games. It is hung up front and center, that's for sure.

Both scenarios crossed my mind. IMO, though, is primary reason is the need to be on campus tending to his own house instead of being elsewhere while an investigation is underway inside the Dept. of Athletics to see how the hell that creep got a pass for so long. Not saying it's on Hollis or inside Athletics. It's just not something we know yet, but he needs to be here.

Agreed, too much going on to be having his attention divided, even if his participation might have been a good idea to raise MSU's profile.

Here's another interesting angle...maybe Hollis disagreed with the idea that college athletes shouldn't be paid.

On Jan. 9, the Washington Post reported that LEAD1 plans “to form a political action committee to fund candidates for the House and Senate” in an effort to “quash proposals that would allow scholarship athletes to be paid.”

Michigan State's Mark Hollis resigns from post with LEAD1 AD committee
