MSC Football 1942 Color Footage
SIAP, I don't know of this has made the rounds, but I saw this tweeted out by MSU Archives. Very cool 1942 Color footage of the Green--err, Black and Gold of the Spartans.

That’s really cool stuff. Thanks, Miami. Cool seeing DWags on the sideline, too.

Huh. So that's what football looked like without black players. Boring shit.
The colorization is cool, though.

While I don't know if any blacks were on the team that year, let's not forget that at the time of this 1942 game, we were already almost 30 years into accepting black football players.

I didn't watch the whole thing, because boring, but all I saw were a bunch of white guys plowing into the line for 2 yards a pop.MiamiSpartan wrote:Cameron wrote:Huh. So that's what football looked like without black players. Boring shit.
