Anyone else watching this?

Holy shit it's a fantastic show.

This is like ET/Super 8/Poltergeist/Close Encounters/etc. all combined.

I was skeptical but I haven't seen anything bad written about it, so I put it on my list.

Spoiler:
Seriously though, no one gave a shit about the mom jeans chick disappearing. Not even her mom. "She probably ran away. She was ugly and a buzzkill, who cares?"

The little kid disappeared from the same town within what, a month? Might want to look into that.

watched the documentary about Poker world champion Daniel Negreanu last night. Guy had balls and believed in himself. I get that the best players know what the hell they're doing, but there has to be actuaries around who can calculate those odds immediately. What it takes to actually win at the final table and during tournaments is a rare combination of math genius and gut feelings coupled with acting ability and knowing when someone else is. I think it's a trait you have to be born with.

Was it awesome? No but it was well done and entertaining. And the fact that I could burn through it in a week helped too.

Ha, I had a different interpretation of that based on

Spoiler:
not noticing they were Eggos, not understanding why he took that ride in the government vehicle and thinking whatever he put in the box was meant for his daughter after seeing her stuffed animal in upside down world.

Don't get me wrong, overall I thought it was really well done.

I'm sure they'll make a second round and fuck up all the goodwill they've generated this summer.

One thought I had watching this was I wish whoever had cast these kids had worked on the Star Wars prequels because all the kids in this show could actually act.

Out of the kids, he’s definitely the best written. In season 2, Will was good but both him and 11 dropped off in season 3. But Dustin is consistently good. Lucas is pretty entertaining too. And his little sister. Most of the other kids, even the teenagers are meh. Billy was pretty awesome.
