Great song, they were better live than in the studio. Saw them at the IMA in Flint and at Harpos at least, probably more times than that since it seemed they were always on tour with someone.

Hey Steve - got reminded of this when one of their songs popped up on my beddybye playlist last night.
For me this is another of those bands that could/should/might have been - a couple of solid albums and a ton of bad luck/decisions.
Throw this on LOUD somewhere. Tracks 1 & 3 are great poppy, almost bubblegum rock - Track 2 a solid rocker - Track 4 is one of the great rock songs of the 70s - the sad part is track 7 got the most airplay and I don't care for it at all.
The full album
Violation by itself
OK - I lied - they got more recognition/airplay than I remember.....

The band recorded and released their second album, Violation. That album had two hit singles; "Cherry Baby" was a national Top 40 hit, and "Sing It Shout It" went to #65. The first two albums are on Kerrang! magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time[2] and Hit Parader magazine's Top 100 Rock Albums of All Time.[3] Violation is also listed in Classic Rock magazine's "150 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" issue.[4]

Ever have a song that is inextricably tied to a place or time in your life?
I happened to hear this song today and it immediately transported me to a roller rink in 1973. Probably because it seemed every time I went skating I heard this song.....

Day after moving onto 5E Wilson freshman year I heard live bagpipes. Was a true WTF moment. My room was right at the end of the hall next to the stairwell (537). Followed the sound and walked out in the hallway. Didn't have far to go. Suite across the hall and the room kitty corner from mine. Door was open and there was a guy standing with the windows wide open playing the pipes toward the tundra. Walked in listening, then introduced myself to Colin. Turned out to be a really cool dude, born in Scotland.LooseGoose wrote:For our BB program....
He brought a car to State and fabricated a fake parking sticker for what was then know as X lot, across the railroad tracks south of South Complex. Was probably a month or so into fall term when he discovered his car had been towed and put in some impound lot on the southeast side of campus. He hatched a plan and told a few of us he was going to get his car back. A few of us were in his room after dinner when the phone rang. His roommate answered. No surprise it was DPS calling and instructing the car be returned immediately. Just then Colin comes bursting through the stairwell door yelling, "I did it! I did it!". His roommate hung up the phone.
Turned out Colin went to the impound lot and told the guy guarding it he had to get some books out of his car. He got in the car and drove over the curb up on some grass and then got back on a road. IIRC he parked it in a lot near Brody. Of course, it got towed again and was gone the next day. Forget how he got out of it but probably just paid. He had money.
