Pisses me off that they couldn't bring back Infante or Peralta for SS.

That would have made literally 0 sense at the time with Iglesias in the fold. And this is coming from someone that owns an Infante jersey.

Happy Rod is in the booth now as opposed to that Trout jerk off session we had to listen to last inning.

How so? Peralta at least could rotate in the outfield like in the playoffs and I'd certainly take him over Castellanos. Infante is restricted to infield, so maybe not him, but Peralta definitely. He could DH also.

Peralta signed a 4 yrs/$53M. That would be pricy for someone not playing every day.

This. Peralta would have made 0 sense. Infante would have at least made 1 sense. Everyone keeps saying "Peralta could rotate in the outfield" but come on, did you watch him out there? Just because he played 3 games there it doesn't make it a viable alternative. I have little doubt that between the 2, Infante could have adjusted to the outfield much easier. Mostly because he can, you know, move.
Rambling aside- neither made sense to resign given their contracts.

April 20th...different day...
Scherzer was dominant....relief pitching was good, especially Joba....and just enough hitting to power the win.
I like Holaday behind the plate, and, at the plate too.
