Hmmmmmm...

I mean David price was like barely a tiger. I don’t know who would even remember it. Porcello hooked onto a great team, and good for him... but he would not have been able to do that with what was backing him up here.

Price was pretty good. He delivered the Central when none of the other guys could. I remember that because I was at the cider mill and kept checking/watching on my phone. He was a horse.

Those were fun times though. It’s an adjustment year as a fan as you recalibrate expectations

JV leaving. Bottom 8, 2 outs, man on first. 14 K. 1 run. Stros lead 2-1.

Wicked K on Joc Pederson. Fell behind 3-0. They turned him loose on 3-0 and JV threw a belt high strike. Joc was a hair early on it but housed it... Pulled foul. JV throws another 3-1 fb at 96 lower in the zone, Joc barely gets a piece of it. Full count, JV wicked slider that starts in the zone and finishes near the dirt. Swing and a miss. Wow.

Pulled him with about 105 pitches with Machado coming up.

That list is impressive but it takes a bullpen to win. A lesson Detroit never got. Since 2012 our bp was a joke.

It was pretty fun when the tigers lit up that traitor Verlander last month.

Mike Henneman was solid. Also pretty good in 06 when Zumaya was in there. Jones was of course inconsistent. But Zoom and Rodney plus Jones didn't make for a bad set.

That Scherzer guy is pretty good too.

It really isn't pitching that's killing them this year. They're around league average in most of the stats. But hitting they're in the bottom 3 in nearly everything.

IIRC, Price made it known early on he had no interest in staying with Detroit.
