I would like you to explain it please in relation to the article I posted saying he was never charged. Admittedly, I am no legal expert so you might have to get into the difference between being investigated, arrested and charged and police reports vs prosecution etc. Then expound into the Winston case and the ESPN MSU lawsuit where MSU refused to release the names of players that were not charged with a crime. Thanks

The difference with Gibbons (and other athletes who have not been arrested) is that Gibbons was arrested (and charges were listed on his mug shot...which you can clearly see by looking at it), and his arrest record was public.

Whether or not you posted an article saying he was never charged doesn't impact whether he was arrested (and charges were listed on his mug shot) and his arrest record was public.

So, let's just start with that basic fact (which has now been explained to you at least 3 times)...do you understand that difference (between someone who is arrested and someone who hasn't been arrested) and how that is public info and therefore can be reported in newspapers (for example)?

A simple Yes or No will suffice.

Actually the article said it was obtained through a FOIA request. Was Winston ever arrested? Are we sure the MSU players haven't actually been arrested? Would I be able to find that arrest now on tje Internet? Perhaps they have and it hasn't been released because of the ongoing investigation.
Suppose they were arrested and charges are not ultimately not filed? Would you then be in favor of releasing the names after they have been cleared ala Gibbons? Are arrest records automatically public record? Even if they are cleared? Does it vary by state? By circumstance?

FOIA or no FOIA, police won't release the info in an ongoing investigation and no, there have been no arrests.

I'm going to all of the away games, Bob, because I like drinking beer and having fun and, as everyone knows, neither are allowed anywhere near our own campus. At least, that's what I've read here.

Well, well, well. Now, would anyone like to enter the discussion.

Sure, I'm a firm believer that ESPN can sod off in this case.

Right if they have a case, press charges, if not lets go. I am for justice but I am also for pressing those charges with fair haste. If they have a case and they're letting these alleged predators walk around then thats fucked up IMO

The University is caught in a legal pickle and has asked for some judicial guidance. What's the big deal? It's a logical way to move forward.

I was on MSU's side of that thing from the beginning. But I had no idea the topics of ESPN and the current investigation were going to become directly related today with a new lawsuit about a new request of the current investigation.
I got to say this is the first double eagle of my posting career. Million to one shot

Violation. He's a college kid who isn't supposed to do college kid things anymore because he has the assault thing. Doing regular college kid things can violate bond/probation things.

Cooper was incredibly dumb for posting these videos, given his circumstances. But you've created some enemies to get snitched on like this.

If his snap account is public, it could've been anyone from cops to the PO to the judge her/himself. It wasn't necessarily an "enemy". Then again, maybe scum has a full time monitor for this kind of stuff.
