Michigan State is the only D-1 football team in the state of Michigan to not lose a bowl game.

So there's that.

I think MSU won the Tom Bowl this year. So that is wrong, Greenway. More fake news.

They might not have been invited to the Tom Bowl. I don't even know if the Tom Bowl still exists. The next stage of fake news is to label real news fake.

The season hasn't started yet. I think the reason we got the 2018 4* WR from Dayton was so he could play with Messiah.

2017 college football returning production rankings: Oregon, TCU, Texas among leaders

Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Iowa are all among the bottom 12 in returning production. The Wolverines will continue to recruit well and should get a top-15 overall projection because of it, but a step or two backward could be in the works.

I happen to think MSU is one case where lack of returning production is actually a benefit.

We had this news a while ago but officially.

"Thiyo Lukusa has quit Michigan State’s football team after his freshman season, a major loss
for the Spartans' young, developing offensive line.
The Traverse City native confirmed to the Free Press today that he signed the paperwork to relinquish his scholarship.
“I really haven’t been in love with football since I was in high school,” Lukusa said via phone. “It’s been awhile, probably since I was a sophomore or junior. I went home for Christmas and had a great time with my family Up North -- just being away from football and doing other things and working out and playing basketball and running.
“I had been thinking about not playing for a long time. I finally just decided that I’m gonna go through with it and kind of weather the storm, whatever it brings.”
Michigan State officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

This pre NLI signing "news" on 247 is way past ridiculous.

Sean Scherer the 247 recruiting wag posting that another site is reporting MSU very early commit for '18 will jump to Ohio State when OSU makes an offer.

So Ellis has an MSU offer and made a verbal which we all know is worth bupkis and a247 guy who also provides their "premium" content is reporting a rumor from another recruiting site based on a premise of a scholarship offer that hasn't been made. Holy moly.

Would it surprise you if that happened? It's going to happen, more often than not.

If your kid had big time talent and was looking at an offer letter from OSU and MSU, where would you want him to go ( for his sake, not yours)?

Let's get real.
