I think you missed my point I'm not stereotyping everyone. I said about 30 percent are for certain either consistent with the belief to protest or they just don't like the manner they did it. I'm well aware its not everyone but I'm willing to bet around 70 percent of those Tea Party protesters/limited government people have lost their collective minds over this.

Also I was with you about the social media thing but logo gate happened, turned out the RCMB was lock step with that and Trump happened turns out that I thought it was just extremes posting about Trump. I was wrong again. I don't think I'll underestimate social media as much as I did in the past.
That's fair enough. I'd agree that the tea party extremists are up in arms about this and likely have some level of racism behind it. I just know some that don't at all align with the tea party or far right, but who are against the protest (even a couple of Trump hating Democrats that are really bothered by being somewhat on the same side as Trump over this...mostly older people, traditional, etc.).

I don't discount the impact or influence of social media, just that the people posting are not really representative of a large group. Even if the ideas they talk about are representative of a large group, the posters are the more vocal and passionate about it. I didn't mean the extremes of what they believe, but rather the extremes in terms of how passionate they are. The most serious, most passionate, most vocal.

Yeah, I know. I have conservative and libertarian friends that fit that profile. I respect that.

I think the group that the loud noise represent is larger than you think it is. I hope your right and I'm wrong but just based on the sheer amout I see- it's just not a good look.

I look for reasonable people and I don't see many anymore.

which proves my point all along - it's not about the national anthem. The knuckle-draggers were booing the Cowboys last night and they weren't even kneeling during the national anthem.

Most of the people booing wouldn't be happy they got season tickets and then saw their owner "fire" every player who knelt or even locked arms.

Jerry Jones knows his roster and knows he doesn't have a $4B asset without his roster that is about 70% black.

caution: mainstream media article below

Michigan State Police Director Apologizes for FB Post Re: NFL Players

Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue shared a message on her personal Facebook page Sunday that said athletes who take a knee during the pre-game national anthem -- which several have described as a symbolic protest against racial oppression and incidents of police brutality against blacks -- are "millionaire ingrates who hate America and disrespect our armed forces and veterans" and "a bunch of rich, entitled, arrogant, ungrateful, anti-American degenerates."

now before the right wing snowflakes whine about "SHE'S EXERCISING HER RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH"!!!!!!

yes.. yes she is. And so are those rich, entitled, arrogant, ungrateful anti-American degenerates that upset her and all of the other fragile little people so much.

Guess Col. Etue forgets it was in 1976 when the MSP had their first female trooper on patrol and 41 years ago the idea of a woman leading the MSP would have been laughed at.

Who does she think she is taking advantage of laws that forced the MSP to consider her application into the academy and then be required to give her interviews and consideration for advancement?

Col Etue got her job because some PC libs think women should lead law enforcement when they're better suited for the lab, clerical work and making coffee for the office.

Just doing my daily perusing of Fox News to see how they are brainwashing people today (and conveniently ignoring Puerto Rico) Oh! This is today's headline!

http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2017/09/29/nfl-player-owes-las-vegas-cops-apology-union-leader-says.html

Someone let the Las Vegas police union leader know that he can write his apology request on his hand then jam it as far up his ass as he can so he can literally go fuck himself with it.

That was a bit of hyperbole wake but, if you've been paying a bit of attention as of late, he didn't exaggerate and the suggestion that he should apologize is beyond ludicrous

Trump sat and talked through the flag being lowered at an army base, or national guard base. Talked through his interview with Hannity and thought the song they were playing, while it was being lowered was for one of them.

Nate Boyer thinks Kaep and Trump should meet to hash it out. Says everyone hates everyone in this country (he's not wrong there).

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21003968/nfl-2017-ex-green-beret-nate-boyer-writes-open-letter-president-donald-trump-colin-kaepernick-nfl-united-states-america

Sadly I do not think a conversation between Kaepernick and Trump would go very well. I have a feeling that only one of the parties would enter the meeting diplomatically.

There's no need for kapernick to meet with Trump. He already met with Boyer, a former Navy seal and they came to a compromise on the sitting kneeling thing so as kapernick could kneel and it wouldn't be viewed as disrespectful to the flag or vets. And I'll surely take the word of Boyer over a coward like Trump on what's an appropriate protest at this level.
