Why did TN and OTPT leave?

Post by Rocinante on 2017-05-15, 17:51

I was gone for a while, came back, they're gone. What's up. I at least kinda like TN sometimes. OTPT was a whiny bizynizatch.

I figured TN would've been back by now. He disappeared for a while last year, too, but came back sooner than this. I miss my little friend.

As for OTPT, pretty sure he just got sick of us. There's no sense sticking around a place if all it does is piss you off or you don't like most of the other posters. I'm happy for him. The guy is young, single, and living in a beautiful state known for its outdoor activities. He shouldn't be spending all his time indoors online.

If you love something set it free, Greenway.

Turtleneck died in Travis' pit. He tried to escape, and got close, but Travis stepped on his hands... and Turtleneck fell into a 55-gallon drum of personal lubricant.

RIP Turtleneck. I will always love him.

I mean, the first thing with pea soup is the texture, okay?
I've had watery pea soup, it's AWFUL.
Uh, I've had gelatinous, thick pea soup, it's TERRIBLE.
Pea soup, much like clam chowder, needs to have that consistency first, that you can stand the spoon up in it, but the spoon soon tilts, that's the consistency you want.
Number two: Uh, pea soup on it's own can be a little bland. It wants, uh, a fairly aggressive peppering and salting.
Number three: Pea soup needs a fine dice of ham. Not bacon, not any other meat, not turkey. It needs a fine dice of ham.
Uh, number four: Uh, pea soup scorches easily. You don't wanna heat it on a high heat. You wanna heat it on medium low, just until it's warmed through.
Uh, number five: Pea soup is best made, uh, by hand, not out of a Campbell's can. And the key to pea soup, you want a ham bone, uh, for the stock you make, uh, to, to boil your peas.

OTPT got pissed when Bob stopped giving him cash.

TN is a vegetarian and will be grazing fields until late August.

Agree with this completely. He didn't like the way the board was run, he didn't like a ton of us, or at least I should say, the way we posted. He did the right thing. I like the way he handled it. Just said "fuck you guys". That's as big as a statement as there is. And he's loving life out in Colorado. He's got his shit together.

I don't know about your last two sentences (I think he might have moved or been in the process of moving, but I could be getting some wires crossed in my memory), but the rest is spot on.

I liked OTPT as a poster, and I hope he sees fit to come back someday, but he did a lot of bitching about how people posted, responded to trolls, etc.

I remember he said something about maybe moving to Austin, but I'm not sure if it actually happened.

Or Canada with SRC. Maybe he also can't figure out how to block the ads.

Re: Why did TN and OTPT leave?

Post by LooseGoose on 2017-07-09, 14:01

We finally have our OTPT answer.

These Coloradans say Earth is flat. And gravity’s a hoax. Now, they’re being persecuted.

Every Tuesday at 6 p.m., three dozen Coloradans from every corner of the state assemble in the windowless back room of a small Fort Collins coffee shop. They have met 16 times since March, most nights talking through the ins and outs of their shared faith until the owners kick them out at closing.

They have no leaders, no formal hierarchy and no enforced ideology, save a common quest for answers to questions about the stars. Their membership has slowly swelled in the past three years, though persecution and widespread public derision keep them mostly underground. Many use pseudonyms, or only give first names.

“They just do not want to talk about it for fear of reprisals or ridicule from co-workers,” says John Vnuk, the group’s founder who lives in Fort Collins.
