I have some questions....

Do US military planes fly with fake bombs on them?  I saw two military jet planes fly overhead this afternoon, assuming that they were landing at the Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City (TVC) this afternoon at roughly 6pm est.  These two jets were both fully loaded with big ass bombs and missiles n' shit (technical terms).  Are these fake?  is this a training exercise?  I have no idea, but they were low enough that the ordinances were VERY evident and they were heading/turning toward the airport an a slow speed, one right after the other.  No doubt about it.  My wife confirmed what I saw as well...

Anyone?  Just curious.

Not to go super tinfoil, but I was out golfing last night about 15 miles south of town and saw two black unmarked heli's flying in tandom.  I mean, we see Coastie copters all the time, orange as fuck, and sometimes even shining spot lights and shit. These were jet fucking black, flying slow, just north of Interlochen in the direction of Traverse City. Just two strange sightings in two days here in beautiful peaceful Traverse City, Michigan.  I'm curious as hell meow.

Fuel tanks, planes that are flying patrol missions will have a few real missiles on board. Also, there are a few active military training areas in the northern lower and over the lakes used for various training exercises, at times they will load the planes with live and/or dummy ammo for different training scenarios.

The type of plane was "air". They were Air Planes...

I don't know, loud ass fighter jets...

Military planes (of the "air" variety) land at Cherry Capital every Cherry Festival for the airshow, homie....

They land there all the time on training flights...Also a big air show every summer

Just googled "fighter jet with auxiliary fuel tanks".  Looked a lot like this, but, I was on the ground.  The plane, as stated above, was in the air... cuz it was an air plane...... The little fuckers that look like missles 'n shit were also there, they looked bigger than the ones in the pic respective to all the other shit in this pic... IE: they were longer than the ones in this pic.

Yep. Isn't Camp Grayling pretty busy all throughout summer? I don't know if they drop dummies anywhere in that area, but when I was a kid at Walloon Lake, we'd see B-52s to the west, flying low to the south. It was so freaking cool.

Oops. Forgot how backward things are up there. Been spoiled by nearby Selfridge most of my life.

A lot of the newer versions of said fighters have a pod under a wing, the fuselage, or both, for radar and/or laser stuff for targeting and electronic warfare stuff. Looks a lot like a missile from some distance.

PS They fly armed a lot in the area because of the HMC.

I loaded bombs on planes in the navy. The answer is yes, depending on what they are doing they can have dummy bombs on them. Aux tanks look a little like bombs but they will be painted the same color as the plane. Bombs, if live will have yellow stripes on them. If dummy they will be blue stripes, or sometimes the whole bomb will be blue.
