•Reypenaer: Fom the Netherlands. Crunchy salt crystals.
•Havarti: So creamy you can spread it with a knife.
•Provolone: Sharp and so aged that, when it's left at room temp, it smells like a fat kid's dirty tennis shoes in August. In Las Vegas.

Just ordered more fine cheese from Hook's.   I still say there is no better deal on cheese in the world.   World Championship winners for $8#.   Their blues are highly recommended.  Great Cheddar for $10-$30#.  Good Swiss.....these people know what they're doing.

My inlaws live on Lake Columbia a place just south of Jackson and ten minutes from Brooklyn and the Michigan speedway track. If I'm down there for three days I'm sufficiently bored enough to go to Shipshewana Indiana and Amish country.

Meats and cheese.

Well I'm particular to smoked Gouda, horse radish, vintage habenaro, and roasted garlic but I have no issues with anyone into the raw milk. I haven't tried it just yet. I will next time.

Don't go to Whole Foods very often anymore but when I do, I always go to the cheese section to get a couple hunks of whatever raw milk cheeses they have. So much more flavorful than pasteurized cheese.

And, forget eating it with wine. It's much better with cold gin from the freezer.

Got my order in last night.....

11- Hook's World Champion Colby - Lot # 7142
19 - Horseradish Hook's Horseradish Cheddar - Lot # 7016
76 - Blue Hook's Blue Cheese - Lot # 111530
78 - Blue Paradise Hook's Blue Paradise - Lot # 121627
77 - Tilston Point Hook's Tilston Point - Lot # 031604
49 - 7 Year Cheddar Hook's 7 Year Sharp Cheddar - Lot # 7128
70 - 3 Year Swiss Hook's 3 Year Aged Swiss - Lot # 7066

-------------------------
1st impression is that the Colby is as good as ever. Definitely the best Colby I've ever had and easy to see how it won a World Champioship.

The Tilston is going to require me to wait for my nephew to come up. It's so pungent my daughter actually gagged while picking up the sealed package.

The Blue Paradise is as good as I remember it.

Going to try the Swiss tomorrow.
