Regardless of what she's done in the past, giving a "sweetheart" or "little lady" type comment is gross.  Newton is an enigma.  People desperately want him to be a role model for black causes, social justice causes, whatever because he's such a great athlete, but he is, and always kind of has been a lunkhead.

Roc, while I agree with you in terms of Newton being an ass here, it's like a deal where some bully is out on the playground slapping kids and then he gets punched in the gut and then runs and tells the teacher.

Newton was wrong,but getting that old shit pulled up on this girl is a bit of "fuck you" to her too. People suck.
