Stuff to do with the kids this summer

Post by Nordic on 2017-06-19, 14:30

First day of summer vacation for the kids today and I work from home. Obviously I have to go out for meetings and what not...but for the most part I'm at home and flexible.

What can I do to keep them from holing up in there rooms on the phone? 2 x Middle school/High School aged girls.

We already got a workout plan going. Everyday at 11am each day. We rotate who picks the routine. My kids do gymnastics and dance, so they actually know how to do some stuff. Oldest lil' fucker had me doing burpess today. Also learned something new today, penguins, never did those before.

But that is an hour a day and some days I'm sure we'll skip.

We got a pretty sweet dog park/nature trails...I'll haul them out there for some hikes with the mutts. Also mix in some fushing/tubing...but that is usually on the weekends. That's an all day affair and tougher to mix in on work days.

Of course we got vacation stuff planned (camping on the 4th, Torch Lake end of July, Tetons in August). Looking for more everyday activities to keep them active.

What dl you guys/gals got planned for the rugrats?

Sign the kids up for all the community schools and sports where all the hottests milfs will hang out.

You get far more points being a good dad than you do on some random cardio machine.

Ever tried mainlining it? You'll be at football season in no time.

I'd wake up,"what time is it?"

GreenWay: "it's football season!"

me: "yeah...but which one? like, is it just the next one?"

Good point. Now I wish I'd thought to do that before last season.

You should get them involved in volunteering with some community organization. My son did it - 100 hours of community service with the County Animal Shelter.
It was good for him (and the judge approved of it too!)

Seriously - there are lots of volunteer opportunities, so if they have time available then they should find something they can be involved with.

Good idea. Their HS has a community service hours requirement, which is kinda cool.

Your kids should be working in the fields or the mines.

My mom would have a list for us for chores for the day. We each had to pick 3, and they had to be done before she got home. So I would always get up first to do the 3 easiest ones. You could start with that. I would go to a camp for a week or 2. I used to do a summer roller skating pass. And by the time I was 15, I was working as much as I could.
