So I'm renting a skid steer to clean up my yard.
So I'm renting a skid steer to clean up my yard.
We had like 30 trees removed and the stumps ground and now I have a fucking mess that needs to be cleaned up before seeding time this fall. Going to rent a 30 yard dumpster to dump all of the crap into.
Any advise? I'm going with a track machine in order to keep the soil compression to a minimum.

There aren't enough horse farms over there. Add another one.

I rented one last year to remove all the nasty rock beds around the house and started over. Just have to be careful when making turns so you don't tear up your lawn. The track version might be better for this though. Spend a few minutes in the road or driveway running the controls. Definitely want to pick a dry day, which I thought I did. Of course as soon as I unloaded it off the trailer a rogue rainstorm fucking pissed down rain for 15 mins. Sunny all day except for that.

Demolish Nigel's house while he is out buying yogurt at Publix.

Ha, that's what I'm assuming will happen to me. Good advice on the road/driveway. Thanks. I rented it for a week so I've given myself a LOT of time. Going to go slowly and just take my time.

That's the way to go. Take your time.
I was shoveling rock beds and said 'fuck this shit, I gotta rent a skidsteer'. So I ran out and rented it for the day so I was rushing to get it done. Not the greatest plan in the world. I had no choice but to power through the storm. Luckily I didn't do too much damage. Their was a run that I was using to dump material into the woods that got messed up, but it's basically flattened out now. I'm going to seed it this fall. Overall it saved me many days worth of work.

Sweet! Too bad there is no longer a single stump on my property :)
Edit: That your place Nordic? Pretty nice setting there.
To Loose: Whatever is available @ Home Depot on the morning of July 17th. More than likely a POS Terex but whatever. I don't know enough to be picky.

Going to Fellini's tonight. Should give him plenty of time.

I've forgotten the reason that prompted your comment. Please do it again so I can be re-offended.

Would I be able to dig a 12 feet deep pond in one afternoon with one of them things?
