Uh, I've had gelatinous, thick pea soup, it's TERRIBLE.
Pea soup, much like clam chowder, needs to have that consistency first, that you can stand the spoon up in it, but the spoon soon tilts, that's the consistency you want.
Number two: Uh, pea soup on it's own can be a little bland. It wants, uh, a fairly aggressive peppering and salting.
Number three: Pea soup needs a fine dice of ham. Not bacon, not any other meat, not turkey. It needs a fine dice of ham.
Uh, number four: Uh, pea soup scorches easily. You don't wanna heat it on a high heat. You wanna heat it on medium low, just until it's warmed through.
Uh, number five: Pea soup is best made, uh, by hand, not out of a Campbell's can. And the key to pea soup, you want a ham bone, uh, for the stock you make, uh, to, to boil your peas.

I think I am going to root for this team this year, along with Oakland. Jameis is remarkably likeable and seems like he's blossoming into a real leader. Big Will factor + I am there a lot for work. And Bullough as the underdog (who played out of his mind for a series in the 4th q last week - he's got a shot at making the PS at least).

Yeah that was solid.

But again why Jameis seems likable. He didn't tell Fitz to fuck off. He even approached him with respect about his stupid interception, knowing he threw his own stupid interception.

Maybe. It's all a numbers game in the NFL. I don't know what their depth at MLB looks like. He has played well in the preseason and it sounds like the coaches love him but you heard them - there are athletic limitations. Why keep him around if you don't think he'll ever have the athleticism to play at a high level?

It's kinda hilarious how fired up the coaches get when 3rd/4th string guys don't make stops or do their jobs properly. Most of those guys don't have a real shot to make the roster but the coaches are acting like their own jobs are on the line.

Probably not. I was a pretty big fan in the 90s and we had season tickets and I watched those games and broke that shit down religiously. If you remember, during 54's last couple of years with the Lions they took him off the field in passing situations. IIRC he had a pick 6 on 1st or 2nd down and did the old school slide spike into the end zone and it was his kinda "F you" to Fontes and the coaching staff who said he wasn't athletic enough to play in 3rd down/nickle situations.

I remember it was a one handed vertical thing, not like Woodson against MSU but pretty athletic, especially for that dude. And ironically, if I remember correctly, the Lions DC at the time I believe was.....Hank Bullough

I think Bullough makes the practice squad.  You can carry ten guys on the practice squad and the weekly salary is meaningless to an NFL team.

His energy, leadership and knowledge of the game are things you want on the practice squad.  Not a bad move to have someone around that can push other players, lead by example, be thankful and happy on the practice squad - and if need be - could fill in for an injury.

Some of what was said could be positioning so that Bullough clears waivers.

They are pretty well set at middle linebacker with Kwon Alexander and Adarius Glanton, both of whom are better and can play all three LB positions if need be.

The vast majority of practice squad players are never going play significant minutes in the NFL.

Riley needs to work on his speed (it can be improved) and flexibility.  I find it amusing that college players focus so much on the weight room and when you see the scouting reports they say they play tight and slow.

Riley Bullough, Jeremy McNichols miss cut in Bucs' 53-man roster projection

LINEBACKER (6): Lavonte David, Kwon Alexander, Kendell Beckwith, Devante Bond, Adarius Glanton, Cameron Lynch

Bond's knee injury forces the Bucs to carry six linebackers. Prior to his injury, which is a sprained PCL and is not believed to keep him out for the season, he was consistently getting reps as the first-team strongside linebacker. Beckwith may have edged him out of that job though. Lynch edges out Riley Bullough for the final spot because he offers more in coverage, knows every linebacking position in Mike Smith's defense and plays on every special team.

Is Lynch the guy with the Missandei looking wife, on the Rams last year?  Figured it was gonna be between him and Riley.  If he was very close to the cut though, should be a lock for practice squad, which is still pretty good money.

I got my plays mixed up. I vividly remember that INT I mentioned. I erroneously tied it to a Pick 6 and the spike. I want to say even that the INT was against Buffalo but who knows.
