We would get more traffic than ESPN if we gave those two a couple of weekly columns, and maybe Hollis could see their brilliance and MSU could dump losers Izzo and Dantonio.

Is that new arena always so dead?  What was up with all those empty prime seats vs Golden State?

It has not had the energy i thought Downtown would bring to it. They’ve been subpar for awhile but still I don’t get how dead it is. The palace probably had regulars win or lose but you think the bars and night life would bring some fucking noise there. Not sure, honestly. Travis has a theory that the seats at mid court are empty because they included unlimited food and booze - upping the price. Douchebag corporate people probably own them.

The crowd looks worse on tv than it really is. Still not good though.

I honestly thought it was pretty loud there given the empty seats and in the first game I went to - the opponent. And in the 2nd game I went to there were a ton of Warriors fans. But they were easily drowned out by the Pistons fans. They brought energy.

Still there were way more empty seats than I expected for the Warriors game. You really have to check mid way through the 2nd quarter for an accurate read. I think people are still trying to figure out where to park and stuff and with traffic in the city it's a lot harder to get in/out than at the Palace.

I thought maybe the Pistons or ticket brokers held those seats and were asking thousands
Travis' theory has a lot of merit but I find it hilarious.  People spend top dollar to go to the game but in the end all they want to do is drink and eat and watch it on tv

Pretty positive that game was a sellout herbs. Not sure what to tell you there. Last time I checked the cheapest tickets were going for like 70 bucks or so

It may have been but there were a lot of red seats all game long, in most sections.

That’s the thing. Them fuckin idiotic red seats. If all them tickets are sold not much else you can expect, you’re just always going to see those

It probably helped at the palace that all of the corp sponsors had reserved parking in a big ass parking lot right outside of the arena.

Haha! Oh, goose.

I can’t stand one dimensional basketball players (see tum, Stanley) and regarding the coach, again, I think he’s a solid coach in the league and can’t name someone available and willing that is better.

My nonexpert opinion is that it's a little too early to give up on Stanley.

This team is so mediocre

I mean, the first thing with pea soup is the texture, okay?
I've had watery pea soup, it's AWFUL.
Uh, I've had gelatinous, thick pea soup, it's TERRIBLE.
Pea soup, much like clam chowder, needs to have that consistency first, that you can stand the spoon up in it, but the spoon soon tilts, that's the consistency you want.
Number two: Uh, pea soup on it's own can be a little bland. It wants, uh, a fairly aggressive peppering and salting.
Number three: Pea soup needs a fine dice of ham. Not bacon, not any other meat, not turkey. It needs a fine dice of ham.
Uh, number four: Uh, pea soup scorches easily. You don't wanna heat it on a high heat. You wanna heat it on medium low, just until it's warmed through.
Uh, number five: Pea soup is best made, uh, by hand, not out of a Campbell's can. And the key to pea soup, you want a ham bone, uh, for the stock you make, uh, to, to boil your peas.
