Also sounds like the players union wants the DH in both leagues. Long over due.

This is worse then my kid's U14 team. So, it makes me wonder how fine a line between good high school and bad minor league there is.

Umps diffused it by ejecting Urena.
There will be payback at some point. You might see some punches thrown then.

Tweet from JV that's making the rounds today - the focus is the $1M charge from the Dodger fan.
That's funny and I know I'm old fashioned but $181 for breakfast for two is a bit stiff.

Has there ever been a pitcher who gives up a few hits/runs without recording an out, and then went on to retire 27 in a row?

Babe Ruth walked the first batter he faced once and argued with the ump. Actually physically faught him. He got ejected. Guy by the name of Ernie Shore came in and replaced him. The batter Ruth walked was thrown out at second stealing and the Shore retired the next 26. So.... I guess maybe.

aualum, any hope that the Tigers can turn this around in the next year or two? With Mr. I gone, will they ever be willing to pull the trigger on a Pudge Rodriguez tyoe move again?

I'm not sure what the long term plan is to be quite honest. A top five pick in a bat friendly draft will help. I'm hoping for .500 by 2020 with the playoffs and a title being the goal for that five year period probably will be close to 2022 though. Wish we would have traded fummer for Torryes

I am not a fan of building through the draft in MLB. Few have done it well. At least without at least a decent FA signing.
When the Tigers signed Pudge, and then they signed Magglio taking a chance with his knee. I really think that propelled them forward and then they were able to sprinkle in some drafted talent (JV).
So until they open the purse strings (and they may not be able to with the albatross of Miggy's contract around their head) on a couple of key FAs, I will continue to be skeptical.

In 2020 or 2021 when the pitching arrives they will buy some bats

I’m thinking the Dodgers and Astros meet up in a rematch of last year’s World Series. Cubs are a little suspect and there is really no other team in the NL to match them. Red Sox and Astros will play a really fun 7 game series.

Pretty sweet game. Pretty excited for the Yankees vs Oakland game today as well.
I don't think they make it but I'm pulling for the Dodgers. Excited for the AlCS should be an epic series.

I still think a Yankees vs Dodgers series would be a lot of fun to watch. Yankees went 5-2 vs Houston 9-10 vs Bos, 3-3 vs Oakland and 5-2 vs Cle. Today's game vs Oakland should be a good one and makes me remember all those epic ALCS series they used to have back in the 00's.
