Interior Secretary just exempted Florida from the offshore drilling ban rollback

Post by tGreenWay on 2018-01-09, 20:31

A couple of days after Michael Moore threatened to open a fracking operation next to Mar-a-Lago. Keep draining that swamp, you fucking hypocrites.

A story about the FLA exemption isn't yet out. This is per a tweet from CNN's Jim Acosta.

Of course he did.

Do you think Trump wants Mar-a-Laga's ocean front and his Miami Beach holdings fucked up with oil soaked that will draw down property values?

Plus he needs Florida to win in 2020.  Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about Californiabecause there isn't a chance in hell he'd win the state

So can California play the State's Rights card the GOP says they love to prevent drilling off its coast or does State's Rights only apply to Rednecks?

Not sure what state's rights has to do with federal lands. Of course the Fed govt has been screwing the western States for well over a century in regards to that.

They have? So western states don't hold power out of balance with their populations in the Senate? They don't take an inordinate amount of federal funding? Who exactly in "the gubment" is screwing over western states?

You should take a look at property rights and the control of federal land in the west. It's actually quite interesting and you can see a lot of same issues that were in play in the 19th century in play today. Grazing, mining and water.

The Federal Government Owns 61 Percent Of Idaho, 64 Percent Of Utah And 84 Percent Of Nevada.

It causes a lot resentment and problems.
