I like the response of "What kind of a lawyer records a conversation with a client?" Umm, maybe a lawyer who knows his client will throw him under the bus for doing something shady at the client's request?

I don't just mean that about Trump/Cohen. Most rich and powerful people probably have lawyers that handle things beyond just court cases and contracts. They'd be stupid not to record it. It's not like their clients will fess up and say, "Yeah, yeah, that was my bad. I asked him to do that shady off-the-books deal." Seriously, what kind of lawyer wouldn't keep a CYA file for anything that might be the least bit shady or questionable?

to be fair, the racist, bigoted sexual predator has never been held accountable for anything in his life.. be it sexual assault, rape, racism, outright bigotry, emotional/psychological abuse, criminal actions - so this whole "being held accountable" concept is something new to him that he clearly is having a hard time understanding.
