It's frigging unbelievable that he's still in it. What a remarkable campaign and he's still delivering highlights of the debates. On the PBS News Hour last Friday Mark Shields talked about some of his remarkable moments in the debate. Especially his moment where he noted that he missed Corey Booker and I forget who else that was running.

Yang started a new podcast last week, Yang Speaks. Three episodes so far, the first one was kind of boring. The second on has Ken Jeong and the third on has Krystal Ball. I haven't listened to thos yet. Find it wherever you find your favorite podcasts.

Seems like a good start towards UBI. I don't think if Yang had campaigned and put in all that work we probably wouldn't see ideas like this batted around.

Just watched Real Time from last night, Andrew Yang was on the panel and I thought he was absolutely brilliant. I hope he has a solid future in politics, he's really got his finger on the pulse of this nation.

He's no Joe Biden.

Not a big yang guy. He is likable and all and he’s got some good ideas but he seems to think capitalism can save us and I’m kind of tired of that notion.

I wish he’d talk about automation more.

His idea of the Freedom Dividend we’ve seen a glimpse of it with the first relief package where the gov is giving people $1200 a month. The idea of getting people cash seems to work, and I like his idea of us getting compensated for our data and getting it out of Amazon.

He's equating the enhanced unemployment benefit with UBI (at least I think that's what he's doing, extra 600 per week times 4), because steve doesn't understand things.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand it gets him experience in government. OTOH, I don't think it's the best experience or the best platform for his ideas.  I would rather see him in Biden's administration for two years and then running for congress in 2022, then running for president again in 2024.

I would like to see him as Gov of Iowa... Grand experiment there.

Yeah, I agree. NYC mayors rarely go anywhere after holding that office and I'd kind of like to see his idea of UBI catch fire in the heartland. Can a mayor realistically introduce UBI in just a city?
