Did anyone watch the bowl game? Doesn't seem like it.

(and yes I know we scored 6 points with our QB who couldn't throw the ball)

I really didn’t. Was wasted. I was recording it. Figured I’d watch more sober in a day or two. Never ran it back again. Still have it. We’re weird about keeping shit even if we only see the kid for three seconds on a game.

Modernizing the offense can have a lot of different meanings. Many are probably more subtle than lining up 5 wide shot gun and running an RPO every play.

If there are two things I'm confident of, it is that we will try to control the ball and do so with as close to a 50/50 run/pass balance.

We ran a ton more up tempo in the bowl game than we ever have.

Obviously it isn't the cure all that some think. If you don't have the players available to throw, catch, block, and run (whether due to injuries or just lack of talent), then you aren't moving the ball with fast or slow tempo. Instead, you just make things twice as difficult for your defense.

I'm not against having some tempo at all, but I am against having it if we cant move the ball any better with tempo than without it.

Do we have a clutch receiver that can catch a Hail Mary pass or make a big time throw for a game winning td out of a trick play?
