Exactly. 5 primary dates. 10 states each primary. Make each primary representative. Done by the end of March.

Why do you only want already famous billionaires to have a chance?

It’s fine to be one state at a time, and have one be the primary focus for a long time going into it, it makes a ton of sense in fact, but there’s no sense in having that state be Iowa. I was on the fence on the issue before yesterday, but now that they fucked up its time to change it.

Money is required to fund a multistage campaign. Lots of it. Lots and lots and lots of it. And organization. And some more money to pay for that organization. The only people who would have that are exceedingly wealthy people and the anointed front runner. So for instance- in 2008 Hilary would have destroyed obama in such a system. By focusing on one or two states to start out with, a lesser known candidate can build that momentum and fund raising rather than spreading themselves too thin.

So which millionaire or billionaire are you going to vote for? You’ve already put the two non millionaire or billionaires at the bottom of your list. Ten states isn’t that big of a stretch. Have debates before hand to build momentum and donations. What states would you like to have decide the viability of a candidate? By the time the Michigan primary happens it’s possible PB might not even be on the ballot because three states got to make that decision. A cross section of America is more representational than whatever the DNC comes up with.

Look man I’m just telling you why 10 states all at once at the beginning is a terrible idea. There’s no positive to it really. Throwing around millionaire and comparing it to billionaire so callously is laughable. A couple million bucks in net worth is chump change compared to the type of money we’re talking about here. Peanuts. Not even close to enough to even get off the ground.

As far as simply changing the state that starts- id pick a traditionally competitive one- Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, etc or one that could potentially be more competitive in the long term- Texas or maybe Georgia or Florida? I dunno, any number of places really are better places to send our candidates for a year talking to voters one on one than a place where they don’t have a prayer in 9 months or for years going forward.

For anyone who thought Obama and Clinton were good presidents. I'm not sure either one wins the nomination if it weren't for Iowa, New Hampshire and the slow start.  Harkin dominated Iowa, but then got beat by  Clinton in New Hamphire and Brown in Maine.    Clinton then went on to Georgia and Maryland  and started rolling.

In 2008, I had heard of John Edwards and Hilliary, but never heard of Obama. Then he beat them both and I said "who?"

Wouldn't having 10 states all at once make it much more likely that a well funded campaign/billionaire would win?

This is why Iowa and NH suck.  We're talking about him being "done" based on how he gonna perform in Iowa (4% black, 5% Hispanic) and New Hampshire (1.5% black 1/2% black)

And we wonder why Dem's can't get minorities motivated to vote

Like you said, Dems always stepping on their dicks. Like I've said, when Trump get re-elected DON'T blame republicans.

Would you if your candidate got eliminated because states that made the choice were 90 and 95 percent white?

Biden can't run in primaries in other states? Is he the overwhelming favorite of minorities?

Yes, he can if he's still in the race.  Some pundits and people are saying his campaign is on the ropes.  My response was with that in mind.  It would be a shame if his campaign suffered momentum loss or worse because of the establishment system in place.

I think he's fine. But the system is massively flawed. It's just a shame they've only had 4 years to fix it.......2020 Swill Bin Democratic Caucus - Page 2 1550444538

Hey, maybe we’re looking at this all wrong. Crazy things can happen. If I’d have told you in 2008 you’ll have a black two term president, a female will get the Dem nomination in 2016 but lose to a racist, and a gay guy will win the first primary in the 2020 campaign.

You’d have had me committed.

Mess in Iowa is a godsend for Bloomberg.

Personally I am happy this mess has happened. Sick of having 90% white Iowa and 93% white New Hampshire making the first decisions for any party's primary.

Pete declaring victory and getting talked about for days AND his campaign clearly being the reason the poll was cancelled is just not a good look. I think this turns more people off to Pete than on to him. So there’s no conspiracy (probably) and everybody gets hurt and the Democrats look fucking ridiculous. Sucks the air out of the left, and with the acquittal and the state of the union and Trumps new poll numbers, the Democrats need to nominate a dynamic candidate. Pete, Biden, Klobuchar... none of them are it. The billionaires ain’t it. They need to nominate Warren, Sanders, or Yang if they want a chance to win. Anybody else loses. Democrats are so fucking dumb.

I can’t possibly emphasize enough how comparing millionaire and billionaire in the same breath is asinine. A guy who has 700,000 or whatever is the same as a person who has 2000000 functionally, compared to a person who has 1000000000 who is on a totally different planet.

Yeah ... If the 401k breaks my way, I theoretically could be a "millionaire" upon retirement.
