This cracks me up. Solari retweeted this. Maybe he just glanced over it and missed the word "cuntbags"

I think it was originally scheduled for June, but with no sports and dropping ad revenue what choice did they have?

I thought the same thing the other day. Looking back on my life I'd have to say UofM and the Bulls dynasty are easily my two most hated sports teams. Big problem with the Bulls is they ended up living up to and beyond the hype.
Also, ten part series? I think an hour or so would be plenty.

I've seen the previews, and the celebs the celebs they've interviewed for this documentary. I don't need to know how Keanu Timberlake's life was impacted by the Bulls.

Oh god, is that what they're going to include? It will make a nauseating love fest even more nauseating.
Reminds of the History Channel when they do their own multi-part documentaries. They will be mostly interesting, but then have celebs comments intermixed with historians'. I guess it must appeal to some, but for me it is just pointless fluff that takes away from an otherwise informative piece.

It's smart marketing. The NFL GM's that were pushing to move the draft back were clueless. You have a captive audience out there if you get creative.

Hole Lee fuq. I looked to verify it is a 10-part series, because that just seems ridiculous. Not only is it a 10-parter, it is also only on Jordan's last season ('97-'98). WTF

College football’s 12-game regular season divided over the fall and spring semesters.
The College Football Playoff semifinals and title game held in May – or even June.
A nine-game regular season.
Universities allowing student-athletes – but not the entire student body – back on campus to participate in games played in empty stadiums.
This very well could be the immediate future of college football, according to 112 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) athletic directors contacted by Stadium.

I understand why people are talking about it, but imo people need to simmah down about canceling football - college or pro. We have no idea what the fuck is going to happen between now and September. Someone could discover tomorrow that Fruity Pebbles cures the virus. We could get hit with an Asteroid in May. The virus could mutate and start traveling via fiber optic networks and we could all be dead.

I have heard a rumor from a somewhat credible source that it is being bantered about that fall 2020 college football season might move to the spring of 2021. I can tell you that there are meetings occurring that are designed to brainstorm all possibilities and contingencies.

I have seen that rumor. Then the problem is, what is going to happen in fall of 2021? Two seasons in one year? That thought should make the NCAA's heads explode.
ps. to Nordic:

as I've mentioned in other threads, there isn't a handbook on how to handle this kind of thing during a pandemic. All options are at least on the table to be discussed.

Rutgers extends coronavirus campus shutdown through August | What it means for athletics
Rutgers will not permit any in-person classes or events until at least mid-August due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the university has not yet ruled out opening campus for the football team and other fall sports programs to hold preseason practices.
The moratorium does mean teams will not be able to return for summer workouts prior to the start of the preseason. It will also prevent programs from holding summer camps and recruiting evaluation events.

wife and I were drinking on the deck yesterday afternoon like we have the previous 20+ afternoons and were breaking down the possibilities. If football season somehow runs in the spring of 2021, this would be my proposal:
cut the season almost in half. Maybe even just a 6-7 game season of conference-only match ups. Begin in mid-January, no bye weeks, wrap it up by mid-March so conference hoop tournaments/March Madness can do it's thing.
Bowl games: traditional New Years Six only (if that), play the National Championship game (Alabama vs Clemson, of course), no semi-final.
Season wraps up by mid-March, no spring practice. Then summer workouts, players report to fall camp 2021 as regularly scheduled.
