Big news day for FL.

Orlando man accused of attacking Pinky the flamingo

BUSCH GARDENS, Fla. - An Orlando man is accused of picking up a flamingo and throwing it to the ground at Busch Gardens, according to police.

While Corrao was at the Jambo Junction Animal Viewing Area, police say he reached into an animal pen and picked up a flamingo. Witnesses say he then threw the flamingo to the ground.

Due to the excessive force used to throw the animal down, the flamingo had to be euthanized.

a-hole.

Shocked

A 19-year-old Florida State University student was having dinner with his family Monday night in Tequesta, Florida, when he got angry, stormed out of the restaurant, killed two people, then ate a victim’s face, officials said.

Moments after Austin Harrouff left the restaurant, police responded to a 911 call of a stabbing attack and arrived to find the teen biting off part of a dead man’s face in the driveway of a Tequesta couple’s home, officials said. The man’s wife was found dead in the garage and a neighbor suffered multiple stab wounds.

Harrouff was charged with a double homicide and taken to a nearby hospital, where he remained in an unconscious state. Police and hospital workers have completed some tests, but have not yet found any evidence of drug use.

Homeless Man in Florida Arrested For "Giving Mouth to Down South" on a Woman on the Beach

A homeless man arrested after being caught performing oral sex on a woman on the Sunset Beach Boardwalk told police he was “an emergency responder and had to assist the female as it was his duty,” because we get the heroes we deserve, not necessarily the ones we need.

The 50-year-old man, identified as Tracy Briley, was first spotted by a witness and his three-year-old son Wednesday afternoon. Briley reportedly had his pants down around his ankles and his “penis out” while giving the woman mouth to down south. According to Fox13, the woman, who is also homeless but was not identified, was taken to Palms of Pasadena hospital for an unspecified “medical issue” — presumably related to whatever prompted Briley to administer emergency services.

ISLAMARODA, Fl. — A man in Florida is behind bars after he taunted police to take him to jail while riding a manatee.

Massengale admitted to knowing what he was doing was illegal, but said he was waiting for someone with a badge to show up.
He promised he wouldn’t show up for court when issued a citation.
He then began chanting, “Take me to jail! Take me to jail!”

What a douche.

Florida man driving home from strip club falls out of truck and runs himself over

On his way home from a strip club, a Florida man fell out of his truck, ran himself over and then ran off, troopers say.

The Orlando Sentinel reported the 28-year-old Casselberry man left Dancers Royale strip club around 2 a.m. Tuesday. Less than a block away, the Florida Highway Patrol said he fell out of his 2016 Ford pickup and promptly ran over his own leg.

The man was down, but his truck kept going, rolling into a nearby house and injuring a 58-year-old woman inside, the Sentinel reported.

A 56-year-old man was arrested Monday after police said he drove naked through his Boynton Beach neighborhood with electrical wires attached to his genitals.

Someone called police after Kurt Allen Jenkins reportedly slowed his white four-door Toyota and made sexual advances toward that person. Jenkins allegedly motioned toward his groin area, at which point the person saw the wires, and opened the passenger-side door.

Horse meat sold for $7 a pound at illegal slaughterhouse, police say

Police early Friday raided a suspected horse slaughterhouse operation in rural Miami-Dade, arresting an elderly man accused of selling undercover cops the illegal meat for $7 a pound.

The case is believed to be the first time in South Florida that investigators documented the the actual sale of horse meat, a lucrative but highly secretive trade — and one that has bedeviled police and animal enthusiasts. In recent years, the carcasses of butchered horses, their meat bound for dinner tables, have been found across South Florida, resulting in only a handful of minor arrests.

Taken into police custody on Friday: Manuel Coto-Martinez, 70, who is charged with selling illegal horse meat, a state felony that is punishable by at least one year in prison.

Miami-Dade police raided the sprawling ranch at 13202 NW 182nd St., in the rural C4-basin, which has been the site of several illegal pig slaughterhouses discovered in recent years.

What's the big deal? Theyve gotta do something with them after they're finished shooting the movie.

Never had it--that I know of. But horse lovers (the kind who love riding, not eating them) are every bit as passionate about their animals as I am about dogs and others are about cats. I have no idea why that line got drawn to keep those three safe and the rest of the animal kingdom available for consumption. Three random animals we've grown to love and would see eating them as tantamount to cannibalism.

Cows are pretty popular in India. So they get a pass there.
There is some weird shit down here with Santeria, and although not common, its not unheard of that horses are found slaughtered. Last year there was quite a bit of it in the news. The area they found this guy in, could easily have something like that happening.

A Florida man tried to rob a former WWE wrestler — and got body-slammed

The daring defensive tactic worked. The confrontation, captured on store surveillance cameras, occurred in seconds and seemed to end with Gaspard retrieving the weapon, calmly walking toward the front of the store and placing the gun on the clerk’s counter.

But Gaspard wasn’t finished with his opponent. (No compelling wrestling match is complete without a climactic smackdown, after all.)

Police say the Gaspard “grabbed” Felix and “escorted him outside where he was eventually detained on the ground with the help of witnesses.”

Authorities are being polite.

Surveillance footage shows Gaspard walking Felix outside, with his massive forearm wrapped around the suspect’s neck. The two men pause momentarily and then, without warning, Felix’s feet leave the ground as Gaspard body-slams him to the ground like a rag doll.

Though the recording is silent, one can imagine a crowd cheering right about then.

Man, 81, Cops Shuffleboard Rage Plea - Cops: Floridian battered fellow retiree at senior citizens center

The octogenarian, who lives in a St. Petersburg mobile home park, was arrested after he got into a physical confrontation with a fellow retiree. According to police, Hayden punched the victim and struck him with a shuffleboard cue.

The attack, cops say, occurred at the Pinellas Park Senior Center’s open-air shuffleboard pavilion (pictured below). Hayden battered the victim near the close of the 16-court facility’s thrice-weekly Black & White Shuffleboard League competition.

Hayden and victim James Sutton “had a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation,” police reported. After the 6’, 200-pound Hayden slugged Sutton, he “hit him with his shuffleboard cue causing damage to both cues.” Sutton suffered a pair of four-inch scratches on his face during the scuffle.

Please be safe when walking in Florida

Since 2011, SGA’s biannual “Dangerous by Design” report crunches the numbers on their “pedestrian death index”—the rate of pedestrian fatalities relative to the number of people who walk to work—across the country’s largest metro area. This year, it looked at 104 cities, and eight of top ten most dangerous metros are in the Sunshine State. The national average is 52.5; the top metro, Cape Coral-Fort Myers, clocked in at 283.1.

I'd say it's because of people texting and driving but it's a bunch of geezers driving that probably can't even turn on their cell phone, let alone drive and text at the same time.
