I have no issue with the word, I just think its over used. I would be interesting to see how often it is used if everyone was given 10 F bombs a day.

Here is a question, and I may be drunk on all the forum features that this place offers that "other" places don't, but would it be possible to implement a language filter that individual users could toggle on or off? That way people who like to say **** can say ****, and those who don't wish to see the word **** won't have to see the word ****.

On Chrome there are profanity filter extensions. I imagine there's the same for Firefox. Might want to look into it.

Nope. A simple censored word in phpBB without wildcards. If I add wildcards, all variants of the word would be censored. Replacing it with 'lick' instead of **** might be fun.

I think with some of the extensions, you customize the database over time by adding the variants as you see them.
