Dodge Charger this generations Pontiac Gran Prix?
Low rent wanna-be ballers seem to flock to the Charger. See them all over the road, under powered base models, busted up, skinny tires, tinted windows, probably over miles lease. Just like those shitty Grand Prix's. Honorable mention to the Chevy Cobalt or whatever its called now.

I think every single one of them is a cop car.

Sure? Pretty sure the base is 3.5 but I could be wrong. I think you are thinking of the Chrysler 200

Anything is better than a Pontiac. Glad they don't make those shitheaps anymore.

Piss off. Leased a 1999 GTP sedan with the supercharged 3.8 V6. Much better looking and would walk pretty much anything in its segment, including Taurus SHOs. The HUD was cool.Cameron wrote:Anything is better than a Pontiac. Glad they don't make those shitheaps anymore.
Liked it so much got a 2001 GTP when the lease was up. Only issue I remember the vehicle having was the air conditioning dumped some water on the floor in front of the passenger seat...fixed with one trip to the dealer.
Was kinda pissed when the next generation came out in 2004 and ruined the styling.

Man I have always wanted a Red Pontiac trans am. I know it's a piece of shit so I'll never buy one, but it's my favorite cheap piece of shit out there.

My kid almost bought a 2001 WS6 (LS1 Corvette engine) black manual a few years ago. Took him out to look at it. 55K miles and the thing was immaculate. Guy selling it said it was his recently deceased dad's, the original owner. Let us take it out for a spin with my kid driving and me in the passenger seat. Got out of the sub and my kid nailed it. Pretty fast, louder than fuck, but had an annoying light rattle when slowing down...sounded like a loose heat shield to me. Did a four mile loop around the sub and noticed three cop cars (Shelby Township) on the road, one behind the other, near the sub street we departed from a few minutes earlier. Pulled quietly back in the subdivision with no issue.
Kid ended up buying a 2006 GTO with 30K more miles for $4K less. Thing was much quicker than the WS6 but had sorta lame styling IMO
