I was more or less forced into a new position in my company that is different than what I'm doing, so I'll have to be in the office more. No one wants to golf with me on Sunday's.DWags wrote:

Damn. But if you go there on Sunday there will be three that let you join I bet.

Dwags I'm kinda drunk, I got home from the golf outing (played like shit) and fell asleep with my kids literally sitting on my chest watching Toy Story 3. Not gonna lie, it got kinda dusty in the room at the end. now I'm up and made a monster zero and vodka. How was the track meet?

My kid kind of choked. Was top three in the state going into the high jump busted out at 6 inches below the regional height. Top kid in state went out in the same round. Oh well. But lots of talent. Fun to watch. Golf fun?

How do you handle that? Just curious.
Golf was fun. Got way too hammered, had kind of a bebacle this morning. Dudes cutting down 3 large trees in yard were present at home, wife was taking kids to a music class, I was trying to get my cardio in before I had to get picked up for golf (plus hit the pet store for dog food).....and then she got a call that the horse was down and it might time for youth in Asia.
Long story short, vet came, horse rallied, I got picked up but had no food in my stomach, hammered down some IPAs, a few Makers rocks, couple double Captains, and maybe two handfuls of MLs and I couldn't sink a putt. Weird. But I started bombing the ball on the back 9 so at least I provided some help.

Jesus, that's a month of drama in most lives. Glad you got golf in. I don't handle the success or failures of kids. They do. I let them, then ask them to reflect on why they succeeded or failed. After they get over the euphoria or devastation, they usually end up coming up with pretty reasoned analyst. Then it's a hug both ways and you move on. However seeing 8 kids on the medal stand seven of whom you've been beating all season is still pretty hard to deal with.
Holly Bullough. Wow. She broke the state record in the mile today. She was 80 meters ahead of everyone at the finish and these are state finalists. My god. Blew them away. Full ride at MSU next year. Will join the national record holder in the high school mile from Manistee (last years time) on MSU's cross country and track team. Like Hank said, perhaps the most talented of his grandkids.

the state record or the record for her division? Pretty sure the actual state - MHSAA - record is 4:39 or so.... that's pretty quick for someone going to MSU.DWags wrote:WhiteBoyHatcher wrote:
