This looks good. Westworld might be good as well. Also the last season of The Leftovers is coming up.

I only watch HBO and AMC series these days. Has anyone been watching The Preacher? I've heard good things.

I've been watching The Preacher. Starts out strong. Second ep waffles a little bit, but now it seems to be finding its footing. At this point though, I'm much more interested in WTF is happening in the 1890's or whatever year they have the western part going.

Watched the 1st episode last night. This looks real good. That Pakistani dude was dumb as shit. Looks like they're going to add a healthy dose of police incompetence too.

Preacher is really good.

Leftovers is God-tier, especially season 2. S2 is one of the greatest seasons in television history.

Just caught the first ep of this show. Should be a good miniseries.

Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Interesting first episode.

This is one of those shows where every little detail could have significance. I'm sure they'll throw a lot of curveball clues that mean nothing to keep viewers off the trail though.

I'm in the middle of the first episode and holy f. If you were in the this situation, would you call the cops from the scene? I'm pretty sure I'd take my chances with that.

About to start the second ep of this. Solid start - I am intrigued. HBO deserves a chance.

Watched one last night. Good start. Naz is dumb. Maybe he did it and they will lead us all around just to find out ... Yep, he did it.

Good start. The acting and cinematography has been great. When he woke up in the kitchen he had no blood on himself. Unless he showered before that then I don't see how he did it.

I know it sounds like explaining that to the cops is crazy, but your DNA and fingerprints are going to be everywhere anyway.   Better a crazy story than being caught later, which is pretty inevitable, even if you don't know about witnesses at the time you're making the fight or flight decision.

This show kinda sucks now, right? Went straight downhill since ep 1 or 2. Losing interest.

Agreed.  On a separate note I watched the DJ AM Documentary on HBO and thought it was great.  You would probably like it.

I sadly agree. We all know what jail life is like thanks to other HBO shows. I don't get the whole jail angle of the show.

Yeah the jail life bullshit was what did it for me as well. Was least interested in that angle they could have taken of all angles.

Agree with you guys. I'm gonna give it 1 more episode but so far a grand total of nothing has happened since ep 2.

It's not what I thought the show was going to be. I was expecting something more along the line of True Detective where detectives would be trying to uncover a frame job or something like that. I guess this is more realistic storytelling, just not as fun to watch.

Also, enough with Tuturro's feet. I don't care.

Redeemed itself a bit. still needs to cut the jail angle by 50%

He finally actually starts to investigate the crime AFTER he retires? All in the last episode?! WHAT!? That first episode was a masterpiece, it was beautiful. So much potential. It has some decent characters and interesting twists but fuck let's not kid ourselves and act like it delivered. Expected more out of a HBO show.

It did kind of fizzle after a spectacular beginning,  but I'd still give it a B+.

Spoiler:

Shoulda spent more time on the murder victim's backstory and less time on Nas getting tatted up in prison and shit.

Anyway, Westworld looks like it could be good. Is that going to be a series? If so, I hope Hopkins can stay healthy enough to see it to the end. How old is he? Or maybe they're thinking the same thing and he gets killed off early on. I dunno.

I agree with most everything I've read here.

Watched the first three episodes on Sunday.  Got real excited and watched the rest Monday after work.  Was OK but certainly a whole lot of meh after the first two or three eps.
