Grayson is pretty good (Top 5 - Top 20 program nationally). The old coach scheduled the game (he's at Clemson now...wink wink)...wanted to challenge the kids I guess.

The GHSAA has outlawed schools scheduling IMG any more. Coaches complained that IMG was recruiting and stealing their kids...which is odd because big 7A teams in Georgia (like Grayson)do the same thing to a lesser extent (basically recruit and get kids to transfer).

I have a FB friend who coaches in GA who is so blatantly trying to get hired at IMG that it's downright sad. Likes every FB update of theirs, blasts score updates out whenever they win, jumps to their defense whenever I talk shit about them on FB.
He claims it's all because he's just good buddies with their staff but I know better.

It jus tseems so shady that IMG has a school. Was AAU ball not sketchy enough?

I don't think so. I don't recognize any names.

This Grayson team is no joke, though. I'd take all eleven defenders if I was MSU.

If other schools follow IMG's lead there will no longer be much talk about power private schools like Don Bosco in NJ, Mater Dei in CA or Brother Rice poaching local players because they will be picking up and leaving home to play at sports academies like IMG.

Just like we've seen in basketball.

I think we were after Williams for awhile as a CB (and/or maybe slot guy). He caught the TD in the first half. Got kind of torched and called for PI in the 2nd Half (and then faked an injury). He committed to South Carolina before the game.

Depends. It was fun playing and coaching, but I'm not much into watching it if I don't have a direct relative involved. I've had to watch five years of the local team at home games cause the kids were on the dance team. Brutal. In five years I've only watched three or four victories tops.
