Got one of these to take to work. Been playing with at home to get the proper cook time sorta worked out.
Nordic Ware Bacon Rack with Lid
The recommended time is 1 minute per slice of bacon. Dip 4 strips (4 minutes) and they came out very crispy. Perfect for crumbling in a salad but not what I generally want. Did 3 strips (3 minutes) and they were better but still need to dial back the cook time.
Not much sticks to the tray. It's nice for pouring off bacon fat for later use.

Unbelievable. Was just telling the twife I needed a microwaveable bacon maker. Looks like a reputable brand too. Ordered.

Haven't tried thick cut and probably won't after reading the comments. Says it's not dishwasher safe, which is fine by me. Actually cleans up easily in the sink after pouring off the fat.Nordic wrote:The Pantry wrote:Got one of these to take to work. Been playing with at home to get the proper cook time sorta worked out.

Based todays cook times on 1000w. Home microwave is 700w. Work microwave is 1150w. I use an app called Microwave Helper to calculate/adjust cook times.

I have that bacon tool. Found that it cooks uneven. I use it in a hurry but depending on brand and cut you get uneven cooks.

Been using a touchless soap dispenser at the kitchen sink for a couple of years now. Was skeptical at first but now really like using it. Given the events of the last couple of weeks, decided to put them in our bathrooms. The ones we bought are now currently unavailable, but this looks like the identical style from a different company, and it’s for less than what we paid.

These things are pieces of shit. Both of the original two I ordered broke by fall. I liked it for my bathroom so I went on Amazon and found the highest rated one with the most reviews and bought it. I have to stick my hand under it 6x to get a drop of soap out of it. I'm about to throw it through my neighbor's window.

It works fine for GW because he doesn't actually wash his hands. He's dirty.

Have wall-mounted touchless soap dispensers at work. They were okay when the building was new but now have to put your hand under it 4-5 times to get enough soap. I'm guessing the soap dries and clogs up the nozzle. Was meaning to straighten out a paperclip and ream it out but haven't want to fuck with it since covid.

At least check to see if the reviews are even for the right product. A lot of the reviews for these earbuds are for a desk headphone holder.

I'm a big canned fish/seafood fan, sardines are actually a pretty healthy snack or pack meal (King Oscar is my preference). But, I have never had kipper snacks. I guess I better try them.

Have King Oscar sardines too. Was comparing nutritional labels with the herring. Not as much omega-3 but the herring has 80% less sodium.SawGreen wrote:The Pantry wrote:Polar Herring, Kipper Snacks, 3.53-Ounce (Pack of 18)

First we'll put 'em out of business, then we'll take over their real estate and move in.
Sounds like how all restaurants became Taco Bell in 2032.

Thanks. That’s not the thread I was thinking of, but I’d forgotten about this one. For some reason, I was looking for an Amazon thread started by Wake that had been bumped more recently than 2021. Doesn’t matter; this worked, yours would’ve worked. The main thing is to show DWags how to be a man in the kitchen.

A coworker texted me on Saturday saying that same thing had just happened to her. She hasn’t shown up for work or called in sick this week and isn’t responding to my texts. Huh. Weird.
