that makes a strong case for duct tape, velcro and tube socks filled with marbles.tGreenWay wrote:Some neighbor kids were singing the Lugnuts' theme song early in the summer. I had that SOB in my head for days. This is why kids should be locked up indoors when they're not in school or the mines.

I've lost my marbles, but pennies in a tube sock will be just as effective.

I probably play "This is Dire Straights" on Spotify once a month, having removed "Money for Nothing" from the playlist because fuck that song.

My wife is aware of my affliction and sometimes tries to needle me into it with a casual mention of Guitar George or something. I just usually nod and chuckle and then this gets stuck in there for a day or two.
I don't mind that either actually.

'cause that's a pretty fundamental aspect of being Guitar George.

Piggies by the Beatles
Hold on Loosely by .38 Special
It’s Your Thing by the Isley Brothers
Renegade by Styx
However, the song I first thought of upon waking this morning was, “You’ve got an uncle in the furniture business, Joshua Doore.”

The first thing I thought when I read your response was “fuck, you’re old.”
When did Joshua Doore go out of business? Was it the 70s or 80s?

See, tGreenway always thinks negative. First thing I thought of was, this man is my age and that’s really cool. tGreenway, wtf, don’t you have any mirrors in your house?

I did not know that. I hope he was laid to rest in a hollowed out Natuzzi 3-piece set.

I put ‘em up, Mrs. GW takes ‘em down. She says looking at my stupid face is bad enough that she shouldn’t have to look at my reflection, too.
