So your best choice is a 76 year-old guy who hasn't managed in a decade, with a recent DUI that you knew about when you hired him. Good plan.

Typical of the White Sox management.
Reinsdorf is going to do what the hell he wants and didn't care.
Read an interesting article in the WaPo about what effects COVID is having on the baseball draft, college baseball and HS players.
Here's the link about "Tank" Espalin, who was such a dominant player in SoCal he got his scholarship offer to USC while he was an 8th grader and knew he was going to play 30 miles from home. Â
Then COVID happened. Â California HS baseball was cancelled so Espalin had no senior season. Â USC's new coach called and explained he knew Espalin had verbaled and not looked at other schools but his scolarship offer was being rescinded. Â The MLB draft was cut from 40 rounds to 5 and scholarship players on the USC roster were opting to stay for their junior o senior seasons.
Espalin will be playing for IU who offered him late. Â Espalin had never been to Bloomington when he accepted their offer.

Theo steps down in Chicago. Says it’s time. Looks like he wants a year off before taking on a new team/challenge.

The timing is right for Theo to come to Detroit next year. People say that Avila wants to retire next year.

Saw that Charlie Pride played in the minor leagues. Played for the Memphis Red Sox.
Also, Conway Twitty was a baseball player -
"He also played baseball, his second passion. He received an offer to play with the Philadelphia Phillies after high school, but he was drafted into the United States Army."

Goose was front and center at a Van Halen gig in Detroit and saw Motrhead in Detroit. I don't think he can hear any song that's played below 120dbs.

True stories. If you have any luck with the search function it's on this board. He even posted a pic and you can see him up front. Going off memory it looked like he had a feathered mullet back in the day.

Lame modern tradition throwing a HR ball back if it’s from the other team. Dude you caught the ball and that’s a cool souvenir. I’d keep it.
