Re: The Blue Wave of 2018
2 big IFs but if the economy stays strong and if these numbers hold there might be a red wave. 68% say that the economy is good and Trump is all or somewhat responsible and that's from a CBS poll.
CBS News Nation Tracker poll: Americans give Trump credit for good economy, mixed reviews on N.K.

The economy and the president's support
This survey has followed the levels of Trump support and opposition over time. Today, buoyed by their feelings that the economy is at least somewhat good, the ranks of Mr. Trump's strongest backers have risen to 22% from 18% back in January. Many of these backers had previously adopted a wait-and-see approach, labeling themselves as more conditional in their support a few months ago. Supporters overall – both strong and conditional – together remain less than a majority, however, while the ranks of the strongest Trump opponents have remained steady.

FTR -I'll save ya the suspense - there will be no "blue wave". Your friends in the mainstream media won't allow it.

I think everyone is aware of the right wing bias in the media. The way the networks, CNN and MSNBC fawn over Trump is sickening. They cover up so much shit for him.

Re: The Blue Wave of 2018
The media sets Liberals up for another crushing disappointment....
Rating Changes in 19 House Races, All Toward Democrats In total, 68 GOP-held seats are now rated competitive
But.....the generic polling has been narrowing for months - Reuters now has it within the MOE which is usually great news for the Republicans....

From Blue Wave to Blue Trickle to Blue Gurgle
I’m actually growing more and more convinced that Democrats will find themselves in the minority after November 8, staring into a bleak future, experiencing a gut-wrenching, soul-crushing moment, with the horror of a Trump re-election in 2020 staring right back in their faces.

Yeah, it's sounding more and more like those damned dumb hicks are going to vote for more punishment. Someday they'll wise up and vote for things that are in their interest like lower incomes, more unemployment and higher prices. Until then you wiser guys will need to try hold 'Merica together in spite of that bumbling idiot.

Re: The Blue Wave of 2018
Even More Shrinkage: Dems’ Generic-Ballot Lead Down To Three Points, A New Low
Blowing the 2016 election against Trump and then the 2018 midterms when POTUS can’t get out of the mid-40s in job approval would be the greatest competitive choke since the 2004 ALCS. I continue to believe Democrats will take back the House partly for that reason. It’s not just the laws of political gravity dictating that the out-party wins big in a midterm, particularly when the president’s not very popular. It’s that teams just don’t choke this bigly, as the president likes to say.
In case the graphic’s too small for you to see, Democrats have dipped to 43.8 percent on the generic ballot, their smallest share of Trump’s presidency and the first time they’ve been below 44 percent. Republicans, meanwhile, are at 40.8 percent, their highest mark of the Trump era and the first time they’ve topped 40.5. Why? In this case the silver bullet is Rasmussen, whose new generic-ballot poll has the Dems up by a single point. A week ago Rasmussen had them ahead by six. As their new data has cycled into RCP’s average of the five most recent national polls, the average itself has risen accordingly, producing today’s three-point gap.
