We do have hawks and owls in the neighborhood, so maybe they’ll take care of the problem on their own. We do seem to have a lot fewer mourning doves. Hawks love those things.

Maybe you’re bird feeder will be like mine.... an actual bird feeder. There’s plenty of food for the hawks. Sometimes we are left with a present of feathers everywhere. Our biggest issues is the squirrels. Those fuckers dumb the seeds everywhere.

I suggest getting a couple pet falcons.  There is a family of falcons that live atop of one of the taller buildings in downtown Kalamazoo.  When you walk through the alley next to the building you'll find heads of pigeons and doves that the falcons had eaten the rest of.

My squirrel baffle works very well against those little guys. Truth be told, I love squirrels* and I buy 25 lb. bags of peanuts in the shell to toss on the ground. I also have a feeder for bluejays that holds the peanuts in the shell because that’s their preferred food.
Maybe I can borrow your hawk some time. It can have the starlings and red squirrels, plus the groundhog that’s eating his way through my garden.

*Except red squirrels, which are effing mean and destructive.

Parents had friends that had a backyard that backed up to woods. There was a bird feeder just outside a large window in the eating area of the kitchen. With the woods they had problems with squirrels at the feeder. The guy electrified the feeder somehow. Had a doorbell button on the wall in the kitchen. A push of the button jolted squirrels sailing off to the ground. Funny as hell to watch. Was low voltage so didn't kill them...they'd just walk away slowly. A similar setup would take care of your starling problem.

When I was a young lad, still living with my parents, I installed an invisible fence for the family pooch. After I completed the job, I held the collar to my forearm and tested it, just because I felt it would be fair to understand what the doggy was in for.

After installation, I called a buddy over to check out the new system. He asked me to demonstrate, but with mom as my witness, I explained that I had already tested it. My buddy then proceeded to to strap the collar around his neck and run past the barrier. Watching this in excitement, there was no way I would tell him that I tested it on my forearm. He ran past the barrier and screamed, saying that half of his head went numb. It was then that I told him that I didn't wear the dam collar on my neck.

Fantastic greenway. Weather was hit or miss at times but didn’t let it impact us. Played some hoops, drank a lot, hit the beach, pool, and some local bars. Thinking of making it every year instead of 1 every 3

#84 according to the 2017 Media Guide, page 39 of the Spartan History section (why they have separate PDF files for the different sections with their own page numbers grinds my gears).

Byrd, Eugene W.; 1975-76-78-79;
WR; #84; East St. Louis, IL/East St. Louis

So neither of us were right, but if you add our two guesses (80 + 88) / 2 = 84 then that's the answer Random Ramblings 502811600

Company instituted a new smoking policy week ago last Friday.  Only one area outside the building to smoke...all the way across the building and roughly 500 feet away from my desk...one thousand feet round trip.  The policy, as written, includes our customers as to the location they can smoke.  The policy included a limit on smoke breaks, 3 a day not including lunchtime.

Knew it would turn into a witch hunt with snitches.  Since the policy came out I've made sure to take 2 smoke breaks a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Never tested the 3 limit.

Got an email late this afternoon from our office manager cc'd to HR and our safety manager that wound me uo:

****,

Please adhere to the smoking policy.  Please refrain from going out to smoke more than 3 times a day (lunch break not included) Not more than once every 2 hours.  Thank you.

Replied back:

Since the policy was instituted I have only taken 2 breaks a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Not once have I taken 3 breaks in a day.  Where are you getting your faulty information from?

She replied back:

I am just making sure as your name was mentioned to me.  Thank you for the clarification.

In my little universe, Asians smoke much more than others, especially the Chinese. Maybe that’s why the company has such a rigid policy; it’s tired of losing staff hours to cig breaks.

Much better work story today.

Since the sale of the company there have been shitloads of auditors in. A couple of chicks have taken over an office on my end of the building. Both are mid 20's, reasonably attractive, and rather tall with nice bodies. The shorter of the two has an exceptional ass. They are not in all the time. Were not in at all last week but showed up this week.

Our security system has had a lot of false alarms the last few months. The build shop manager is alerted whenever it goes off. Alarm went off at 12:15am this morning. He determined it was false and went back to sleep. He checked security video tape this morning.

The tape showed it was the two chicks leaving the building that set the alarm off. At 12:15am. Even stranger is the security system auto-sets itself at 8pm, turning on all the motion sensors in the office hallways.

Those chicks had been in that office over 4 hours without leaving it. Set off wild speculation among us perverts.

But, they're decent looking. Possible scenarios:

1) Full-on lezbo action
2) They are straight, horny, and clever...catching a few Z's while billing their company before hitting the bar
