Like a lot of people, I will watch a video if I’m interested in the content or if I’m searching for something. Many of these sources require you to watch an ad before showing content I’m interested in. I get it. It’s a money stream. But there are limits to how long I’ll put up with your bullshit ad. Make it no more than fifteen seconds, tops, and five or ten seconds is more palatable. YouTube and news sites are the biggest offenders. I recently sat through a thirty second ad to watch what turned out to be a fifteen second sound bite on the LSJ website. Eff that.
