Saw a nice 4 point laying on the side of the road on the way home from the rifle range. From how I was shooting a car looks like a better option.

shot four and a half deer this morning.. three of them are currently in the fridge enjoying a Cheeto-based dry rub..

the other one and half are being shipped to the Hunter's Hall of Fame and NASCAR Institute for Advanced Studies in Corporate Country Music so they can enjoy a weekend meal.

Careful. They might eat your fruit in the fridge.

I realize that this is a controversial topic, but the only fruit currently in my fridge is a carton of blueberries.

however, on the countertop - a countertop with no refrigeration benefits {gasp} - there are apples (Gala), bananas, clementines and a few kiwi.

I shot another 3 or 4 this morning. Was pretty awesome.

not just have to get my Deluxe NASACR rub (consisting of Cheeto crumbs, a Slim Jim puree and tire shrapnel) on it, pop it in the fridge and we'll have ourselves a good week.

Bob, the last serving was absolutely fantastic! Can you set aside some without the tire shrapnel? It's not allowed under my diabetic dietary restrictions.

true story: I was running in the woods early on Saturday - (in a state park) - and I wore my blaze orange vest over my Nike Dri-Fit jacket 'cause you just never know what a bunch of crazy people with guns might do.. I think the park borders private property (obviously) and I did hear some gunshots.

a little unnerving but I'm used to it this time of year.

You actually heard gunshots during firearm deer season? Whoa.

If it's the local State Park, hunting is allowed there, along with trapping. It's posted right near the entrance. I've hunted there for years.

I mean, maybe during the hunting season, I'd just hit the campus and enjoy that for a while if I was running. Just a suggestion.

Bet that was fun getting her back out. Shot a doe one time that was standing about 1/3 of the way down a 200' hill. She managed to flop on her side and slide all the way to the bottom. Fun time dragging it back up the hill.

Same deal here I dropped her and she flopped her way right into the ditch. I guess at least I didn't have to pull her up a 200 foot hill, I bet that was a fun time.

We had to pull a moose out of a lake in Ontario my brother bagged. Talk about work... man those straps were delicious though.

That's just weird. Somebody shot all three while they were bedded down and then left them.

Where's Bobby Sak at? Or does he just limit his poaching to inside the city limits of East Lansing?

I 100% support deer hunting but I do wonder why do they have to turn the front yard into a deer butcher shop? Can we use a little discretion and maybe do it in the backyard?

I would but I think there’s a little bit of a hey look at me going on. It’s like the old joke how do you know if someone is on a cleanse diet? They are telling everyone about it.
