Wings dropped from 4th to 6th in the lottery. Hughes and Kakko won't be available. Bowen Byram the best defenseman in the draft should be there at six. With the emergence of some of the young forwards it seems like the logical pick.

Whew, I am so fucking happy we went on that winning streak at the end of the season. It's something every one of us will look back and fondly remember in our late years. "Hey Kingston, remember the 5 of 6 winning streak to end the 19 wing season?, man, that had me in shivers each night".

You know they have a lottery right and when he says “dropped from 4th to 6th” he’s talking about they were in 4th position but dropped to 6th because two teams ping pong balls got picked ahead of them, yeah?

So, explain to me how odds work Travis? Should we have even won more cause lottery balls are lottery balls? I don't get how odds work like a lot of you guys do. It's why you guys win so much gambling I think and I stopped gambling.

It’s just like the nba draft dwags. I’m not positive on the exact percentages but the 1st slot gets this many balls, 2nd slot this many, etc. the wings were in the 4th spot. But since two teams beat the odds and got picked for two of the top three spots from lower than 4th, the wings got bumped down to 6th.

Would they have been in the third position and only gotten bumped to fifth if they hadn’t won games? I do not know. I only watched like 4 hockey games this year.

They would have been tied for 3rd with the devils had they won one fewer game. No idea what the tie breaker is. So maybe.

A dude who gives out 7-year deals to 4th-liners isn't a good GM anymore, though.

Maybe going to Seattle will rejuvenate him.

Pretty good won’t win titles. Now, I don’t pay close enough attention to the Wings to know this for certain, but I’ve always wondered if Holland was skating on successes of Jimmy D and Scotty Bowman. Holland hasn’t exactly lit the League on fire since he’s been on his own. But that’s just my opinion; I could be wrong.
