Waiting for a tire to get fixed. Reading stuff on this kid. He made the cover of SI. Is supposed to be the next phenomenon. The guy from SI thinks he’ll do a year at MSU before the NBA.

So Duke or UK it is.

I love Izzo and wouldn't have it any other way than how he does it, but a freshman one and done still needs to bust their hump on defense and the boards for Izzo, and he will sit your ass if you don't. This kid will almost certainly sit a hell of a lot more on the bench than he would at these other schools that have become one and done specialists. The parents can say that they want him challenged by a coach that won't just hand him playing time automatically, but yeah, we'll see how that goes when the other schools really put on the press for him.

And you can believe if the kid is sitting the bench, it won’t be hard to tell he and his dad are unhappy.

Remember when we played Ben Carter over Jaren Jackson Jr.? I forget the reason why, was it because Ben Carter was tougher or more blue collar?

Oh yeah, the next Jordan/Kobe/Lebron is going to be content with 22 min/game his one year in college. So, cool, Izzo can point to Miles as getting major minutes as a freshman. And then Cal or K go into the kid's living room and roll out a list longer than a CVS receipt of freshman with 30 min/game under them.

I had started to make a post with shooting percentages and actual evidence, then I remembered that it is a waste of time to debate anything with you, and this is more or less a settled matter regardless. Since the recent scandals about the pay-to-play, I think MSU is on the upswing. Honestly, for a sure thing, it's about a 3-4 month commitment without the donation. I think MSU is in the seat to land a few of those kids we never did. Day-Day, Forbes, Bridges, Harris, Jackson and Valentine are not hurting the cause.

You shouldn't be fired up about him because when all is said and done I'm betting he won't end up here. NBA, or the Dad will catch a case of Duke or something. From what I know right now the Dad isn't like that and is doing everything right and they have great relationships with TI and the team but we all know better.

Conventional thinking has been it's MSU (if he reclassifies) or the NBA (if he doesn't). That could change if he moves out of state to play at a prep school (just speculation on my part). He comes to a lot of MSU games.
