Idiots in charge.
FTR, i haven't read the article. I'm just calling them idiots on general principle.
Oh wait, if there's no mail, there's no way to vote by mail....really makes you think.

Michigan is doing the right things on coronavirus. So why is the caseload so high?
Pretty interesting stuff from MLive on the origins of the infections in Michigan.

It's funny watching people who consider themselves "pro-life" whine when Gov Whitmer's actions and decisions save lives.

Just remember they are in the minority. Gov's whether r or d have polled really well when they take this threat seriously and do their part to unite their state and protect their people. It gives me some hope.

All of the governors who haven't treated this seriously are red. Go figure.

Bet he fires Fauchi when the worst of it is over. When we’re definitely on the down side of this he will boot him. Purely out of vindictiveness. He still obsessed with anything Obama for Christ sakes. He bombed Michelle Obama’s healthy lunch program. He’s petty an insecure. Much like his base.

An evangelical pastor died of COVID-19 just weeks after proudly showing off how packed his Virginia church was — and vowing to keep preaching “unless I’m in jail or the hospital.”
good.
I just wonder how many innocent people he transmitted it to when at the grocery store, etc.

Bob loves to look down on people who pay attention to the mainstream media. From what I can tell, though, he gets all his news from mainstream media headlines (not the whole feature, just the headline). I think that's all his attention span allows for.

As far as the re-open council goes, we’re completely fucked. This is like waking up to a headline “MSU hires dream team in football” and we see pictures of JLS Stattan Bobby Williams and Bolman

I wish I had the patience to read the bill. The money allocated for your average American who’s laid off, is there any sort of mandate on where the money goes if it’s not completely used? Like is the money then transferred to the “business sector” for the orange ape to hand out to his cronies. We already established he’s blocked any sort of oversight as to where and who it goes too.

I thought I saw on TV that the conservative candidate got a really high profile endorsement and his polling numbers increased bigly. Unprecedented and never seen before in our history. What happened?

There was a discussion in the main board coronavirus thread or the freak out thread where an article was posted that had a headline and first paragraph said that people in Asia were getting reinforced. Nordic, who actually read the article, pointed out how it wasn't until further down the article that they they said that it was basically speculation and gave all of these other possibilities for what happened.
It is a good lesson that the headline is designed to get you to click.
I mean, as Spartans, we should ne aware as any group if this, when you see the Freep sports headlines after MSU wins/UM losses.

Re: Coronavirus - The Political Side
Prediction: for the 5,765,435th time in his presidency, he wont actually take things to the extreme that he is "thinking about". He does this time and time again, people get riled up, and then he does something much, much, less.
In the small chance where he does actually try to over rule the governors, then we will have a constitutional crisis on our hands. But will conservative judges back him? Aren't conservative judges usually more literal in their interpretation of the constitution? If so, he loses any battle like that.

he's actually afraid of Governors like Cuomo, Whitmer, DeWine, Inslee, Newsome, et al - because he knows that they make him look like the pathetic piece of human trash that he is.MiamiSpartan wrote:Prediction: for the 5,765,435th time in his presidency, he wont actually take things to the extreme that he is "thinking about". the last thing he wants to do is take them on.
I mean, of course the mainstream media and the racist, bigoted christian deplorables would eat it up. But deep down, he knows he is a bloated sack of filth.. and he could never compare to them.

Of course he did. There was talk of this two weeks ago. People probably tried to talk him out of it but of course he went ahead and did it anyway because we all know that's who he is.
