if only we could've predicted that electing a guy who could screw up a one car funeral was a bad idea.

The amount of infections in NY went up over a thousand cases in one day. Most of the traders live in NY and when they saw Trump's speech today was just a bunch of word salad the market dropped. He's not fit for office folks, he's not up for this task.

These kinds of numbers often need points of reference. For example, the U.S. has the world's 3rd highest population. Italy is #23. What does that mean? Italy's infection rate far outweighs it's population rank. Not so much for the U.S.

I’m surprised the Dow rose so sharply after Trump said he wants to get back to the business of corporations making a bunch of money in 7 days while states are begging for respirators to keep people alive.

“We knew the jobless claims was not going to be a good one. I am curious what your thoughts were when you saw that 3.283 million number this morning?” asked Faber.

“To be honest with you, I just think these numbers right now are not relevant whether they’re bigger or smaller in the short term,” Mnuchin responded.

“Obviously, there people who have jobless claims, and, again, the good thing about the bill is the president is protecting those people,” Mnuchin added, referring to the coronavirus stimulus aid package, which was passed on Wednesday night.

“They had no choice, now with this bill passed by Congress, there are protections, and as I said, hopefully, those workers will be rehired, but between these three programs, it protects all of American workers.”

“And, by the way, you know, lots of big companies do continue to hire, for obviously grocery stores, pharmacies, you know, delivery services. These companies are on overtime, so I know they’re hiring people as fast as they can,” Mnuchin added.

They showed multiple places like this. Lines driven up by people that just lost their job. They interviewed an Uber driver who had four dollars to his name. Four dollars!

Yeah, I hear you. I read the other day the stock market went up during the Spanish flu so it clearly doesn’t react to the same bad news that we do.

That foodbank story on News Hour the other night showed multiple food banks across the country with lines of cars that looked like the one heading to Woodstock. Multiple people that once had jobs said they had absolutely nothing left. I haven't really paid attention but when does the $1200 get there to these people?
