As far as gas station coffee goes it's far and away the best. Their cleaning, maintenance, and hygiene standards are great.

Getting sick of all these corporate cares commercials. Any company that plays a somber spot with the sad piano music claiming they care is full of shit. They just want to sell you shit you don’t need.

I bought 2 laptops for online school when I realized in person school wasn't going to happen. So it was maybe mid July. My kids have used them periodically, mostly to do dumb shit like Minecraft and Roblox but I've been pretty careful to make sure they didn't turn into online zombies. They were identical Dell 2 in 1s. First day of zoom class today and lo and behold we try to launch on my daughter's and it does not detect the camera. Ran and got her set up downstairs on the desktop in the family room and spent all morning multitasking while on my calls, and periodically running up to check on the kids, trying to troubleshoot this shit.

It's unreal. The device manager does not even see a camera anywhere, like it's literally not there. I tried driver updates, BIOS updates. Dell customer support is useless. I found some people saying they had the same error message and the camera wasn't enabled in the BIOS. So I booted to BIOS again and the camera is checked. 2 hours later after more troubleshooting and coming across the BIOS solution again, I go back into the BIOS, uncheck camera and recheck, save reboot. Lo and behold, the camera fucking works! OK great, problem solved.

Tomorrow I'm dropping the kids at MIL's for online school because the cleaning lady comes. So we decided to do another zoom test run tonight to be safe. No fucking camera detected. Repeated my steps in the BIOS, didn't work. Fucking gave up. Girl will use the boy's laptop. Boy will use his school issued iPad. Dad is scheming away around the store's return policy program.

Today is my grandparents 70th anniversary. 70 fucking years. I don’t know how the hell people do it. Although my grandma has no idea has her dementia is pretty bad. We’ve been trying to get my grandpa to put her in a home, but he refuses. My grandpa is 96 years old, and takes care of my 92 year old grandma. He said he’s done it for 70 years, why stop now.

Btw, my grandpa mows his grass every other day, is in his garden at 6am each day, always has done all the cooking, does his own grocery shopping, and they both still go to church every Sunday. Craziness.

Congrats on their anniversary! Sorry, I couldn't do it. The thought of spending 70 years with someone makes me want to jump off a cliff. I hope I'm as active as your grandpa at that age, though. He rocks.

This is a great story. Congratulations to your grandparents. Maybe it’s because my parents divorced, and because my mom remarried, then got divorced again after that, but the thought of being married for 70 years to the same person amazes me. Like Floyd, it’s doubtful I would want to stay married to just anyone for that long, but I’d love to be with my wife for 70 years. We’ll have to make it to our 80s just to get to 50 years, but that’s a goal of mine.

Truly the greatest generation. Happy anniversary to them.

Arrive home and twife assess the size and shape of my bag and politely reminds me that kid 2 has driver's training from 7:30 to 10:30. Which means I have the late pickup. Pre-buzz buzzkill. Been almost two months since I filed to get a new license tab online. Still nothing in the mail. How long are our tax paid state workers gonna be off?

Sis works in accounting for a municipality near Raleigh. Been working from home since March. Was scheduled to go back to the office next month. Plans have changed in NC. Now not scheduled to go back until after the 1st of the year.
