If you constantly bumped threads about Vanderbilt baseball, then you might be halfway to a solid analogy there...steveschneider wrote:I know that Vanderbilt is really good at college baseball....I've never sat through nine innings of a college baseball game. I must be really plugged in.

Knowing OSU beats UM in football quite often is not much different from me saying I know UM is having a strong basketball season. You don’t have to be plugged in to know that stuff. It’s common knowledge.
But that is not the extent of your posts. You clearly want to talk about the coaching and recruiting habits of Juwan Howard, which is not common knowledge and does require you to be paying more attention than you’re willing to admit. And even if that is not the case - that you really aren’t paying attention - you would certainly have strong opinions on the coaching and recruiting habits of Juwan Howard, which is probably actually worse.

You playing the “above the fray” card after posting about this multiple times is probably worse than Steve pretending he doesn’t pay attention (or making up stories about seeing underdressed people walking in cold weather).

Cameron is intellectually honest and consistent and doesn't just make stuff up. I tip my hat to him though I wish he'd take some anger management classes. I think you are just projecting here. You miss college sports and are trying to act like I watch a product that I've really only caught a glimpse of. I'll be sure to let you know when I watch a UofM game but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

I don’t miss college sports. I guess because I can honestly say I rarely if ever watched other college basketball games besides MSU. I’d maybe watch three football games a week one of them being MSU. The other two were on as I did stuff. I do miss watching good MSU teams. That will change next year. But yeah, it’s pretty much wait till August now and have the MSU b-ball game on as I do other things.
Cant tell you the last time I watched sports center or the big ten network version of it.

Re: Juwan Howard a Home Run Hire?
Gotta give him credit for the records but overall I’m a bit underwhelmed. Even going off the game last Thursday I saw our team show signs of life against his team. We were able to drive the lane the floater shot was there all game. At the end of the day I think his guard is too short, his team lacks NBA star talent and Dickinson is overrated.
Also, watching Brooks have that tough injury last night was a reminder that having almost a month off where you can avoid unexpected injuries can only help in my opinion.
By next season the vaccine will work its wonders, Izzo will load up the team with top recruits and order will be restored.

I'm saying i was underwhelmed by that team. Looks like a squad that's benefiting from a down year of college basketball.

Are you downgrading him to a triple or double?

Wait until the chips fall after the tourney, but he ain’t a grand slam as of today and looking more like an in the park homer at best.

I have him around a double or a triple that occurred after a throwing or fielding error. The batter got the hit because the pitcher was losing velocity because his arm was tired and he wasn’t throwing heat.

Hoiberg was +10 yesterday. How UM didn't take advantage of him being in the game is kind of a mystery.
On a (somewhat) strength of schedule basis, UM appears to have benefited a bit.
4 Big Ten teams (including MSU) played 14 Quad 1 games.
6 teams played 13 Quad 1 games.
3 teams played 12 Quad 1 games.
1 team (Michigan) played 9 Quad 1 games.

They also had near a month off. Injuries happen and avoiding games avoids that risk.

Any RBIs on that double or triple? Triple means nothing if it don’t score runs. And is a bases clearing triple better than a solo homer?

Maybe he’s a HBP, steal second, sac fly gets him to third, throwing error he scores the Big Ten Title?
