Yep. I sit north endzone and vistor bands are annoying. ND is the fucking worst. IMO visiting bands should not be in.our stadium. But if they put them up top, you don't hear it.
I don’t think I heard their silly fight song all day. Of course, it might be hard to hear the UM band when the DJ is blasting tunes.

Saw this at the time. Cheap shot fuckers. But keep whining about the refs. Two or three plays after this, K9 took it to the house. Don't make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Just finished watching all the way through (fuck work). And Turtleneck, before you tell me to focus on Purdue, part of preparing for the next game is reviewing the previous game.
In the moment of watching the game, I'm so focused on one play to the next, that I sometimes forget the context, so that's one of the things I love about re-watching games. Wow, there were some mammoth plays on both sides in this game. Fuck Michigan for eternity, but they made some big fucking plays, too. That's what made this such an amazing game.
Here's the full game if anyone wants it for their downloading pleasure.
Edit: Weird that it's blocked from being imbedded, but the video still works on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdtOTgsZ7uA
Also a cool video of the sideline and on-field celebrations:

I could get used to big games at noon. It's better than games at 1PM that weren't even televised. Those were neanderthal, dark days.

Stadium was full and loud for a MSU uofm game with two undefeated teams in the top 10. Shocking! Did you take a poll as fans came through the gates to know they didn’t have a problem with it? Or was the poll in the gridlock traffic jams around campus?

There would have been bad traffic no matter what time the game was. I heard from some friends that they've never seen so many people in downtown EL during a game (they were at a few bars).
It was one of the greatest games ever. Bitching about game time and being stuck in traffic seems incredibly myopic to me.

I've never seen EL and campus so crazy and so early. I pulled into town around 7 am and every lot in town was full. The traffic was ridiculous and a nightmare for a lot people. Some friends got off the Trowbridge exit shorty after 8 and didn't get to lot 79 until 10. 2 hours to go slightly over a mile.
It sucked and they need to figure something out

I'm not denying there was a traffic problem. Huge game. People had pent up energy from not going to games/big events. Tons of people came to town just to be in EL (and not necessarily attend the game). Add all that to staffing shortages and it takes longer to get into town.
Got in the Stadium early. Heard it was going to be a problem. It was a breeze. No raising my arms. No pat down. Nothing. I was shocked at how many students were already there, and that the stadium was virtually full at kick off.
Did the 12:00 start create a bottleneck because more people had to show up around the same time? Sure.
But, an 8:00 game would have been an absolute nightmare with everyone leaving at the same time.
Huge win. Huge ratings. Great Day.

Re: tOfficial "Ler's Tuckin' Go" Michigan Game Thread
Regarding parking/traffic...
I came in from the west side. Did not get on the highway. Thought the Kalamazoo exit/496 would be backed up (to Breslin lot). Saginaw was a breeze. Went by Harrison because it was backed up. Turned right on Delta, then right on Michigan, then left on Beal (passes only). Right at Sparty. Left on Birch (between Munn and Breslin). Boom. Easy.
This would work for Lot 79 also.
If coming from the East, I'd get off at Williamston and come in on Grand River or some back roads (I'd guess Okemos Rd. gets backed up a little).

I think this will happen as soon as next season. Even Izzo has gone on record he would like to see the time restrictions lifted. And Haller listens to the complaints. ( and Izzo).
All of this said, I don't think it would have mattered on Saturday. The noon game simply makes for a time crunch and probably 120k descending on campus simultaneously is difficult. I'm not sure how many tailgaters would set up at 5 am.

From a home viewing experience 12 noon couldn't be more ideal. Wake up do a good workout, eat a big breakfast, do a few chores and then watch the game. About 4PM on I don't have to worry about a football game interfering with family dinner plans. Go Green!

Picked up my oldest at 6:30 from her apartment at Hagadorn/Grand River. Was parked by 6:45. First beer cracked before 7. Tailgate setup by 7:15. Band was playing by about 9. Walked in stadium 2 mins before kick. Post game tailgate till about 5ish. Home by 7ish.
We did get stuck on Grand River dropping da kid off on the way home (don't usually go that way obv). Not ideal but got feel the campus vibe. But had to piss bad. Bailed out of the car and walked over to Mickey Ds. Not open. Pissed behind the dumpster. Caught back up to the car just as traffic cleared.
Figure it out OTPT.

If I start rewatching the game now, will I be sober enough to watch the Purdue game?
BTW - Miami, how did i rack up a $200 bill from Sandbar? I know the final shots were around $60. The only thing I can think is that my vodka's were $12 each or something, which is insane.

Saturday was the most fun I've had on campus in a long, long time. Parked ( got lucky with a spot on MAC) by 7:15 and got to the tailgate by 730. They had been set up for an hour in lot 79. No real enforcement to stop them.
Other weren't so lucky. If you waited until after 8am it was a nightmare

Grand River was backed up from Hagadorn to Harrison at 6:30. Just gotta know where to go and plan accordingly. Trying to get anywhere at 8am for the biggest game in years is... well... fucking stupid (not referring to you duff)

I must have found the secret way then. Because it took me 45 minutes at the most to get from the west side into the Breslin lot.
And it could always be smoother. Noticed the MSP presence seemed a little light post-game.
