Elon Musk is speaking out against government subsidies. Here's a list of the billions of dollars his businesses have received.
The knuckle draggers simple answer is: we’re going to use the rules as they are.
What they leave out is, now that we got ours. I don’t want anybody else getting help from the government. Funny thing is the dumbasses who follow them off the cliff, who are hurt the most by using their tax dollars to help the rich, will agree with this philosophy. They will tell you that guys like him and Trump who fucked around with his taxes, “ are only using the rules against our government, so there really smart”

With all the tax breaks the ultra-wealthy get, and a number of them pay little to no taxes via various legal loopholes, how come they are all hung up on complaining about taxes and government?
They are the ones who benefit the most from taxes and government.

Are you aware that the rich pay most of the taxes? In 2020, the bottom half of taxpayers earned 10.2 percent of total AGI and paid 2.3 percent of all federal individual income taxes. The top 1 percent earned 22.2 percent of total AGI and paid 42.3 percent of all federal income taxes.
Liberals love to complain about Trump and his taxes but never tell us how much tax he has paid in the last 20 years. By the degree of liberal outrage you would think it was zero.

I’ve always been told that people vote their pocketbook. I think there’s something more powerful. When people know they can elect a racist that’s full of hate that will keep a minority down, I think they don’t care if they’re getting screwed by the 1% because at least the minorities are getting thumped by the racist that they elect.

Not exactly the best choice of a "wealthy person" as an example to argue about taxes.
In 2016 and 2017, Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes, according to the Times. In 10 of the previous 15 years, Trump paid no federal income taxes at all. Despite reporting hundreds of millions of dollars in income, Trump effectively erased his tax bill by reporting heavy losses across his business interests.

It would appear that they do. People have voted for a government that taxes the lower 50% of wage earners far less than the top 1%. Again the lower 1/2 make 10% of the money and pay 2% of the taxes while the top 1% make 22% of the money and pay 42% of the taxes.

It is odd that you never provide links to back up what you post.
This data is pretty dated, admittedly, however, with the Trump Tax cuts it just means the top of the heap pays less.

He could have fixed the federal tax system when he was President so that the highest income earners, not the 1% which is way too broad a grouping, which hides what people like Trump pay, but the 0.01%, pay at least the same precentage in taxes as their income, but he didn't. So yes, he gets the blame for lowing his own taxes.

Re: Elon Musk and Twitter
In 2021 when White House economists wanted to provide information on taxes paid by the rich to inform the debate over President Biden’s revenue proposals, they had to rely on estimates based on multiple sources. Their findings were still shocking. They estimated that the average federal income tax rate of the 400 highest-earning Americans was just 8.2 percent between 2010 and 2018.

Since I successfully proved that rich people pay the vast majority of federal income tax, Trapper moves the goalposts from the usual "1%" to the "0.01%"

I said the rich pay the vast majority of federal income taxes. I also said that the top 1% pay 42% of the federal income tax.
Do you consider only the top 1% to be rich?

Keep ignoring that for the top quintile, compared to their percentage of the national income they pay about the same percentage of national taxes.
It makes you look pretty stupid.
Also, a tax code that allows the people at the top to pay less taxes as a percentage of their income seems fair to you?
