Correct - the Progressive Caucus is not yet the majority of Democratic House Members, however that does not mean all the rest are "moderates". I have gotten ahead of my skis due to the passage of the BBB Bill in the House and its near miss in the Senate.

Liz is remarkable in one simple way: she made the sacrifice our elected officials are supposed to make in her situation. By opposing Trump, she put our democracy above her party, her political career and to a lesser extent her personal safety. In normal times, this would be the bare minimum, respected but not revered. But these are not normal times. I have to applaud her for doing what the rest of her party’s leaders lack the courage and integrity to do.

It was jaw dropping but not exactly great, it did not make me feel good. It makes me think that my traditional view point of Dems and repubs might be flawed and that they are really much closer in reality than what my mind thinks of them. Mild cognitive dissonance. In the case of trump, it does t really matter or move the needle for me but I may need to reevaluate my support in the future.

While the Chanys are on the other side regarding economics

They still want to win with the power of their ideas, not just with power.

100% agree. I guess I’m looking at it through single issue eyes on this one. While her policy positions are mostly garbage she was one of the few conservatives with a spine and skin in the game as far as Trump goes. Guys like Lindsey Graham and Turtle face enrage me.

There is not way in hell I'd ever vote for her. I do respect her sacrifice for standing up to the fascists in her party. She has an integrity not one currently elected R has. Every single one of them have bowed to the shithead.
