What you in the mood for? How fancy you want? Here's a few for now.AvgMSUJoe wrote:Going to a show at the lottery amphitheater on metro pkwy tomorrow... where should I eat before. beer a must.
I'm a needy poster, aren't I... sorry guys.
If Italian I'd go with Picano's over Luciano's. Rochester Road 1/2 mile north of Big Beaver
Some of the best pizza around? Alibi Rochester Road south of Square Lake
Gator Jakes is only a couple miles from your destination: Van Dyke just south of Metro Parkway (Big Beaver)

All good choices.
I'll throw in Great Baraboo and Roger's Roost too. Neither are fancy. Baraboo brews there own. Both are like two miles away from Freedom Hill.
What show?

Not sure it would be the best lead in to a rockin' show though. All that cheese.
Plenty of choices. Great fish. People order bottles of their salad dressing to go. My wife and I usually hit it up on date and movie night. Haven’t fallen asleep in any yet. Who’s playing up at freedom hill?

It's been about 2.5-3.0 for me, but it's still kicking.

Re: Random Ramblings
Saw El Burrito Feliz on Culver. Anyone been there. Looked busy for around 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday in a tourist town.
Here’s my rant. First stop was Oval Beach. Busy but why we went on Tuesday. We were about to put down a blanket and low beach chairs when the couple about 10’ directly in front came back with load 2 of stuff and proceeded to put up a 3 sided pop up cabana that was 6’-7’ high and about 8’ wide. We moved when construction started. We saw others that were about 4’ high and didn’t totally block out views of the water.
When did these cabanas that look like full size 4 person tents become a thing for some beach goers?

If Gator Jake's, skip the Gator Bites...more breading than gator. Their other food is pretty good and beer menu is decent.AvgMSUJoe wrote:Probably end up at Gator Jake's or the Barbaboo place. Beers and burgers.

Owner of the company is Vinnie Johnson, aka The Microwave. Didn't know he was in automotive. Flattest shot I've ever seen. Was like he was shooting a rope at the backboard and the ball got sucked in the net. Making way more now than in the NBA.
He put some touch on this shot.

I quote cost. It's up to management to determine the margin/how much they want the business.DWags wrote:The Pantry wrote:Gonna be a rough week, week and a half. Re: Random Ramblings
otpt halfway through episode 2 I paused and watched all of The Bear instead, but that ended early tonight (really like it, especially if you have any amount of kitchen experience) so I moved back to succession. Pushed through and I did like ep 3 a lot more, and kinda had to tear away a bit to go to sleep. So we might be onto something.Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:Travis of the Cosmos wrote:They started talking about breaching debt covenants and my ears perked up enough to get me to the next episode. Succession might have been slow at first, but the drama is there to keep you entertained. It's not like any characters get likable, they are all horrible and fucked up, but there is drama.

Remember your mom telling you to blow your nose instead of sucking your boogers back in? Nice enough guy but he's mid-late 50's and does it all day long, often multiple times a minute. Many times the snort is followed by a slight throat clear. Extremely annoying. Don't think he's even aware he does it...like it's become normal to him.
I've tolerated but it's starting to drive me insane. I'm sure the guy in the cube next to mine hears it also. We've never talked about it. How do you bring up a subject like that?

Mistated on the boogers. Tried recreating the sound he makes little while ago. It's not nasal...more back of the throat.Trapper Gus wrote:The Pantry wrote:Company moved a department out of our area few months ago and moved another one in. Re: Random Ramblings
Son thought it was funny because they were talking smack even back then and wanted to post it to their "group chat"... So I uploaded it to youtube. 5 min later I get this email...
Wha? K... I assumed it was AI scanning for bad stuff... fine. I will appeal and have a human look at it.

I doubt it's allergies...if so, get some medicine for that. Sounds like he's trying to hawk/hork up a loogie but never does. The sound is fucking gross. Could deal with it if he did it a few times an hour. It's constant and he seems oblivious he's doing it.Trapper Gus wrote:The Pantry wrote:

Dave Bing got into automotive for a while. Old company did work for him. Saw, but didn't meet him on a trip to the plant. Joey Kocur became a manufacturers rep and did business with my current company before I got hired.Nordic wrote:A lot of the old school Detroit athletes are reps or business owners. Vinnie Johnson the most successful of all IMO. 10 facilities/plants so far. Must have great employees. Have never seen a request for quote nearly as detailed from a Tier 1.

I’m pretty sure the Bing Group dwarfs VJs company. It’s one of the largest African American owned businesses in the country.
I stand corrected. I didn’t realize VJs company got so big. He’s one of the 5 richest former basketball players of all time?
