I didn't hate the Packers as a 1970s Lions fan Dwags. Lynn Dickey, John Brockington and Dan Devine didn't scare me. The Vikings were the real enemy. No personal disrespect intended toward the departed, but for once I’m happy to be old enough to have missed an entire era of music. I listen to pretty much everything, but can’t imagine myself ever even once visiting a catalog of music by One Direction or NKOTB or any of the manufactured groups originating in Orlando. The music sucks and I hated it.

I’ve always liked the bands that formed on their own and wrote their own songs. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, for example. Sometimes I think it’s amazing that four or five talented musicians all grew up in the same area, found each other and managed to become a group that wrote and performed so well. And sometimes I think, shit, it’s just a dozen songs every year or two. If it’s your full-time job, you should be able to do that and put on a decent two-hour show for a few months each year. So I don’t know whether to be amazed or unimpressed.
